But that movie just wasn't the right material to continue have a sequel and the universe isn't worth it. The last bunch of DCEU movies didn't well perform simply due to them all set in Snyderverse.

Guys it doesn’t matter how much some of us enjoy the DCEU movies. It just didn’t work. It completely failed. It’s time to start over. Henry Cavill did his best, but the script was a mess. Man of steel was already off to a rough start. Could this new Superman movie be bad? Of course but looking at James Gunn’s track record, He’s been knocking it out of the park. Canon isn’t determined by the actors or characters-it’s the stories that decide what’s connected. For something to be canon, the new universe needs to directly reference and build upon events from the old one. If the DCU doesn’t acknowledge DCEU events like Justice League or Suicide Squad, then it’s a completely new continuity. Bringing back Viola Davis is just a smart way to keep a great actor for the role, not a continuation of the old universe. It’s more of a soft reboot-keeping what works while creating a fresh story!

Superman will be the highest grossing DC film ever at the Box Office, when it comes out in Theaters on July 11, 2025. The Superman Teaser Trailer will be the most viewed trailer on KZbin of 2024. I can see that Cs thedirector is a Snyder Cultist, you can kiss your Snyderverse goodbye, it is Never coming back. Between The Flash & Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom we got the perfect ending to the DC Extended Universe, Blue Beetle was just an epilogue like Spider-Man Far From Home was to Marvel Studios The Infinity Saga, whereas The Flash was our Avengers Endgame. If you think about it, the Knightmare is basically just the Flashpoint storyline.
