Man, I am reminded of why I've become so jaded towards "game journalism" nowadays. So many outlets misunderstood what Totoki-san was saying. What he said was practically par for the course in general regarding console lifecycles: PS5 has hit the halfway point of this generation. The PS5 was released in 2020 after all. The mid-gen refresh starting with the PS5 Pro has been rumored to be this year and I'm sure devs are gonna flock to that thing. GTA VI for one would be a standout on that system given its supposed specs and capabilities.

I think Bungie should have to see/show malicious use of something like that before permanently banning them. If it was running doing absolutely nothing then it shouldn't matter, but if it was doing something that it shouldn't be doing then that person should be banned

Snake draft isn't alternating #1 on team A, #2 on team B, #3 on team A, #4 on B, etc. That kind of drafting is inherently unbalanced, since each round the "better" available player goes to the same team. Snake draft is alternating each round who drafts first. So #1 goes to team A, #2 goes to team B, then #3 goes to team B, #4 goes to team A, #5 goes A, #6 goes B (and so on for 6v6). Snake draft isn't perfect either, but it's usually more balanced than a regular draft

I think the persistence card is a HUGE win. I can regularly go flawless in solo queue, but some weekends are more stressful than others. It will be nice to have a GUARANTEED roll, even if the matchmaking RNG isn’t in your favor. Also it will increase the population which is awesome. People who are complaining about it are gatekeeping elitists. People who actually understand that population drives fun support this.

when's the last time you kept a piece of armour that dropped in crucible? Adding Artifice Armour to Comp is nice in theory but broader problem is that most of it will be below 60 stat rolls with bad distributions.

The TWID specifically said high stat armor so it'll be above 60 but the question is how much above. Also got two 65+ pieces with nice stat spikes just this week (nearly deleted them out of habit cause of all the low 50 rolls 😂)

Loaded up PVP for the first time in months last night, still feels awful. The lag and hit detection is as bad as it ever was. Still hoping for a D3 with dedicated servers.

Destiny 2 uses a hybrid of client-server and peer-to-peer technology, just like Destiny 1. The server is authoritative over how the game progresses, and each player is authoritative over their own movement and abilities. This allows us to give players the feeling of immediacy in all their moving and shooting - no matter where they live and no matter whom they choose to play with. Every activity in Destiny 2 is hosted by one of our servers. That means you will never again suffer a host migration during your Raid attempt or Trials match. From a blog post in 2017

My belief is that after the Final Shape there will be a 2 year break with no big expansions. At the end of that break we will get either a sequel or an expansion that completely overhauls the entire structure of the game to make it feel fresh again.

Yes, getting perma-banned (not even a temporary suspension) when it can be proven you did nothing wrong is bad. Just like when Lono got perma-banned for playing with randoms in trials and one of the randoms was cheating in some way, but Lono was definitely not cheating as he was streaming and there where *0* signs of that. But he didn’t get as much as a mention here 🤷‍♂️

The problem with PC gaming is the devs! They are pumping out lazy unoptimized PC ports. PC should ALWAYS be better. A plastic box filled with old tech looking better doesn’t make any sense. Lol

What the? Tweaking control options happens to be a perfect place to mention the need for more mouse and keyboard options…because that’s the controller of choice for many. Mouse acceleration is one of many things in need of being added - like zoom level adjustment options and more sensitivity settings. Same thing.
