Complete bombing tables for the F5 are available in ED's user download files. Iain Christie's KZbin channel has a whole series on manual bombing technique that includes, Z diagrams, aim off technique, effects of angle/speed/release height etc. It isn't "magic", it is skill. Once you learn the fundamentals even your "easy mode" CCIP stuff gets better. Definitely worth the time to learn it the way real pilots do.

@YappyDawg Could you link the videos for me? I only saw stuff on rockets in his channel. Is that what you were talking about?

Love this little jet, very fun to fly, no computer wizardry doing all the work for you and arguably one of the best selection of user made skins (to be fair I really like aggressor skins though so maybe a tad biased)

it's a shame that the dcs community doesn't do missions / campaigns for this module

Funny you should say that. Tactical DCS is about to begin a huge campaign, yours truly is the F-5 flight lead.

Details, details...jink, jink, reacquire, release, rinse and repeat. Keep in mind "an inch is a mile", you don't have to jink BIG, just jink enough so they miss (the cone of fire is maybe 30-40', that's more than enough to cause them to miss).

what formula do you use to get mils from altitude and speed?

I don’t, I’m not clever enough for that. I spend hours practicing.

TP any tips for not ripping the wings off, I see so many people doing it.
@TacticalPascale2 жыл бұрын
Erm, not really. Fly it like a Tiger not a hornet or viper I guess?? It’s not got all the fancy fbw that the more modern jets have so you have to baby it a little.

Keep any eye on your g meter. Practice some watching it out of the corner of your eye and noticing your control inputs and speeds and you'll get an idea of what you can pull at higher speeds without over loading the wings. At higher speeds it doesn't take much control input to overG the plane. You'll evetually get used to it.

El mejor caza de Vietnam dato fue los menos derivados, eficiente y tenía dos cañones en la guerra de Vietnam. Es verdad tenía menos carga de bombas.
