Looks awesome guys, right up our street this. It's about time a well respected manufacturer came out with a decent camo tent and this definitely looks like a winner!

Hi Gareth & Zoe - thank you for your comment and kind words - we think so too! This tent closes the gap even further between high-performing tents, and effective camouflaging :)

Interesting and a nice throwback to my early 1990s camping with an A frame tent! The MC pattern and colour though is much darker and tighter pattern than I'd expect from standard MC.

Hi there, and glad that you find this an interesting product! This is our own DD Multicam pattern, which was designed and tested over a span of 2 years here at DD HQ and the wilderness itself by our customers. We find it really effective at blending in to many kinds of natural environments :)

@@ddhammocks2418 Yes, it looks like a more modern and effective version of the classic woodland DPM. I tend to use more technical tents now from Vango but I must admit while there are many advantages of the technical tents. There's an illogical aspect to setting them up. They're too complex and I find an A frame easier to visualise. Plus you get more headroom in an A frame. What's it like in higher winds though? I bet there must be a fair bit of buffeting in exposed areas with higher winds?

Might be worth at the end of these types of videos to have a list of the specs up on screen at the end, just a thought

Hi @Life of Kev - thank you for your worthwhile suggestion! We can certainly look into adding a specification section at the end, I can definitely see how this would be helpful! Ewan - DD Hammocks

The design is simple/basic but also has enough attachments and loops to use a variety of setups for pitching and weather. Especially here in Australia where you can go from a freezing night, to a scorching day, then to an afternoon monsoon in a matter of hours. Most tents/shelters I have used so far suffer from being over specialised or trying to stand out with gimmicky designs that lead them to being extremely inflexible or just being rendered utterly useless if a single part breaks like those infuriating flex poles most tents these days have. Here if a pole breaks, or you lose it, just find a couple of branches or string a ridgeline.

Hi iam considering buying one of these tents. Does somebody know how long (In centimeters) the poles should be if you would like to use it with the mesh inner?
@ddhammocks2418 Жыл бұрын
Hi Phil - the DD A-Frame Tents require 2 of our DD Hiking Poles which can extend to 135cm; you can find these listed here on our website: www.ddhammocks.com/no/product/dd_hiking_pole?from_cat=41 I hope this helps!
