If it’s got 600k and it’s a dd15 that truck is golden. I’m not certified tech but that is a decent truck. I personally like Detroit 60 series. Or a c15 just without twin turbo. Just single custom shit. I got a problem with a c13 with ecl code it’s weird only does it in 13th gear. It’s weird. It’s a sand hauler

He said before that there is an asterisk from the manufacturer that says you need to test the oil if you wait 50k for an oil change if you want to extend your oil take a sample and send it to a oil lab and see what they say

Manufactures will have agreements with oil companies to refer their brand of oil. Detroit recommends API Service CK-4 10w-30 or 15w-40.

@@TATEXPRESSINC you're absolutely right, but mobil delvac is rated api ck4. i was running shell, i always have to top it off between oil changes. mobil stays om full for 20k miles. it might be blow by but it stays full the whole time. i think you should test a oil and see how it runs in your engine.

I have a few DD15s. I'm a small fleet owner in south texas but always big on the maintenance. Recently I've had issues with the EGR systems. 2 trucks in same week had EGR coolers start leaking. I went ahead and replaced egr valve, actuator, and cooler on both. On one it ran fine for 2 days then blew coolant hose off DEF pump. Replaced hoses, changed filter on DEF pump. Then it blew hoses off fuel filter cooler, next blew water pump (water pump was a week old). Took it into a shop in victoria and was told head gasket was bad. Mechanic told me that when egr cooler goes bad you should change oil and filter, drop the def filter and clean it out because coolant cant set in the and also mess up the scr. On the DD15 the def filter and scr are all in one so I'm told and about 8k to replace. What's your take on this. When you see egr coolers bad what process do you recommend to not on fix but I guess prevent further damage.

Hello Adam, I follow your videos. I bought a Cascadia 2018 DD15 From select trucks of Tampa. With 365k miles. I’m almost 380k and I would like to take my truck to your shop to check all that you recommended for 300k PM, just because I want to make sure everything is ok. I really don’t trust 100% any dealer lol. So what would be the cost and how many hrs do I need for it. And your availability so I can look for loads going that area.
