These Artists allso released a lot of popular mods for fallout 4, the issue is the self proclaimed game designer who had no idea how to handle such a project and gave himself and his girlfriend who was allso "working" on the game redicolous saleries. (We dont actually know what his girlfriend did exactly or how much she got payed)

Yeah they basically gave themselves a relaxing job for all those years with good pay, while underpaying devs and mismanaging everything, they cant do anything themselves. The only half decent stuff you see is from fired devs and that's probably in a broken state as well since these frauds wouldn't know how to fix anything that got broken after Unreal Engine upgrades.

What it looks like has happened is the original dev's stopped work on it and ditched the game because i remember something about them saying they're starting from scratch. It looks to me like someone has either bought the game from them or maybe its one of the original dev's that still has the rights to the IP and has slapped down loads of pre made assets into the game and released it on steam knowing full well that some people won't have been following the progress of the game and simply buy it because they remember seeing it from years ago. These people probably think the game is now finished and are being conned.

This showed some promise early on, then it kind to went quiet for a while and suddenly appeared again. Apparently they changed from Unreal Engine 4 to 5 part way through development but it looks like that was probably a bad idea (changing engine is the best way to massively delay a game, or break it. You essentially have to start over in most respects). Why they didn't keep to UE4 I don't know.

Considering the budget of games which cost hundreds of millions to make the last I heard was 250 million for one game. This idea that you can throw a few hundred thousand or a few million at someone begging on Kickstarter and get a decent game in returns seems really delusional at this point. Especially considering the scope. Rockstar probably spent 250-300 million making Red Dead 2. You just aren't going to get a decent game for fraction of a major games budget. Triple A games are mostly trash these days and they have big budgets. So, what do you think a game with a budget of 2 million is going to look like? Look at the most popular and successful indie games. They usually don't do much tech wise. A lot of them don't have amazing graphics. Some of them are even 2D. You can't even get a decent game these days from major studios and publishers with big budgets. The chance that you are going to get a decent game from a very small development team with a few million is very slim.

I'm currently learning game development and this looks like something you'd do in a beginner tutorial. I just noticed that the player character's head doesn't cast a shadow but the rest of the body (and cap) does. How do you even miss something like that? That's beginner level stuff.
