Me personally, It's how determined he is for his brother, and how he puts his family above anything. I guess everyone's reasoning is different. I just relate to that aspect I suppose. (At the beginning seasons, he was very dislikeable though, especially with his immature nature and constantly tryna screw girls while he's doing his job). Not to mention his upbringing was ass, with his abusive father. For the most part he broke the cycle. He loved kids! How he treated Jack was out of character that's for sure.

When Dean finally accepted Jack, Sam was just as happy as Jack was about it. Because Dean has always been so understanding and protective of Sam, so he knew that Dean could be just as good of a brother to Jack. He just needed time. Sam's smile at the end makes me so happy.

Anybody else notice that Dean has become a lot like the Michael of this 'verse. Michael was the good son who had tried and tried to do what was right, but after eons, grew tired, saw that there was no light at the end of the tunnel, so wanted it all to be over, and at least that way, there would be paradise, the humans who were killed would go to Heaven, and maybe his dad will come back. Dean is the good son, who has fought and been through everything, sacrificed everything to protect the world and he's tired. He literally wants to die. Jack was just a victim of Dean's darkness and lack of hope. But Dean is still Dean and will take on any stray and lead them into the light. He's still the compass everyone else uses to guide them. Jack was still just a kid, and Dean's paternal instincts would kick in eventually and they did. He and Jack had a very touching moment, that I think will help Jack a lot through these hard times now that Dean's been hijacked by the other-verse Michael.

I don't get how someone can fault someone else for even being born. Jack couldn't help that he was born. And Jack is half human, which means yes he does have a soul and yes he can be saved. Plus, technically Lucifer was an angel not a demon. Jack is half angel not half demon. To hold someones own existence against them is crazy. Jack never asked for any of this. He's an innocent in all of this. Only his actions, what he chooses to do define him, not his birth something that he had no choice over. And Jack's actions say his future is undetermined, not that he is evil.

I think Dean didn't just hate Jack, he despised him. He hated looking at him and being reminded of Cas. His best friend who died because of a rift that Jack caused. He doesn't just blame Jack for Cas' death, but the fact that Castiel is his 'father' is heartbreaking to Dean. I mean; any reminder of my recently deceased best friend would hurt me, too.
