For me it's 5 years too late from both companies, me and lot of other collectors already have this Joker represented in the collection from various bits and makers, which was also fun to build it until I personally were happy with it.

Didnt know about this yet! id definitely go with the sculpted hair, but interesting they didn't do finer detail even on the top part of the hair sculpt. although Leto joker didn't have long hair the sculpting on his hair was very very fine up close.

For what it's worth, the license and promotional materials for this figure reference "Joker: Folie à Deux", so I don't know if this scene represents a flashback that will appear in the upcoming movie. If that is the case, Hot Toys wouldn't actually be 5 years late in producing this figure as it would be from the new movie, and could possibly explain some of the differences in the costume or continuity from the 2019 film 🤷

This is underwhelming compared to the inart version, and I actually think the other third party versions which came out years ago are almost as good as this hot toys figure. In other words this release.is not triggering me to jump all over it as I already purchased the third parties years ago and they are awesome. This just is not that much better.

What took Hot Toys sooooo long? Easy pass for me, as i have the InArt 2 pack on pre_order. I think the InArt likeness looks better than the Hot Toys likeness. I do like the Hot Toys base/backdrop design. I wonder if Hot Toys will show interest in Joker 2, as i would like to see a Lady Gaga Harley figure.

For the price of an Inart I purchased a 1/4 scale statue for the same price. Pre-ordered the Artisan Joker instead of Inarts because I do have the inart DK JOKER and it was a total disappointment in comparison to their prototype just like their Aragon same thing the prototype looks way better than production pieces

The Inart protoypes (at least a 9/10) look much better to my eyes. While this looks decent (7.5/10), it doesn't have the depth, detail and realism that the Inart version(s) offers. While the sculpt looks very good, the paint apps for the hair and skin tones give it a cheap third party appearance. It doesn't hit the high standards that we're seeing with the Hot Toys Artisan Black Widow, which looks stunning, potentially the best likeness (not just the face and hair, but also the body shape) that Hot Toys has ever achieved, easily their best female portrait. Still, it's nice to have the option of picking up the sculpted version of this for circa £300, when the cheapest Inart option is approx £900-1000 for the double pack. That said, if the Artisan is going to cost £500+, once you're in that territory, wouldn't you be better off paying the extra to get two higher quality Inart figures?

First thing I got to say is where is Joaquin Phoenix's scar above his upper lip? Because I don't see it on this sculpt, only in certain pictures you can actually make out that it's there 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I have the inart Heath ledger Joker, and what I've said from the day I received that figure. In art is the new king in town. Now hot toys is trying to step up their game but unfortunately they have too many irons in the fire to do that. If they just slow down and tackled just a few figures at a time. Quality over quantity is what they could end up having again
