This video comes to you one month after part 1 because of who I am as a person. Please enjoy my ENFP sister and I answering more of your questions about our relationship as sisters and about ENFPs in general!
Watch part 1 here: • Answering Your Questio...
PLETHORA OF TIME STAMPS
0:00 Intro to this short film.
0:51 What’s something that’s hard to understand about the other’s Se/Ne?
0:54 ENFPs have no follow-through.
1:43 What do Se users VS Ne users think about when doing the dishes? (Hint: Ne = everything, Se = nothing)
3:56 If you could switch your MBTI types with each other for a full year, would you? (Discussing what we would be like with each other’s dominant functions)
6:03 Do you think you are like your stereotypes? (Answering about each other)
7:00 How Kristin is more than her stereotype.
7:58 How Jenna is like the ENFP stereotype.
9:50 What is something that people don’t know or understand about ENFPs that you can explain?
10:19 ENFPs are super competent and capable people: breaking down the ENFP’s functions and how they can be integrated in order to be a productive person.
11:45 ENFPs are really good at motivating others.
12:22 ENFPs GENUINELY love you.
13:36 ExxPs need freedom and space.
15:44 How to validate an ENFP's ideas.
16:21 Is it difficult to address/identify someone else’s needs with Fi?
18:29 What are some ENFP stereotypes that you don’t like? And explain why they are not true.
18:33 “ENFPs can’t focus.”
19:33 “ENFPs have bad memories.”
20:10 ENFPs ARE intelligent and into philosophy.
20:59 “ENFPs are fickle and flighty.”
22:38 Fun sister moment.
22:58 “ENFPs always talk about themselves.”
24:30 What’s a good way to encourage an ENFP?
24:34 Give ALL types space to exist in their dominant function.
25:27 The ENFP “bubbly” persona VS their deep philosophical side.
26:06 How to affirm an ENFP.
26:45 What’s the best thing about being an ENFP?
27:35 Another fun sister moment.
28:29 Conclusion and THANK YOU for watching our feature film.
29:01 An extra thank you from Jenna.
30:11 Bloopers.

*What are the cognitive functions?*
If you dive a little deeper into the “16 personalities” theory, you will find the 8 cognitive functions, which stem back to the original psycho-analytical studies of Carl Jung that brought us MBTI. The 4 letters of each type are actually a means of decoding their unique cognitive function stack.
Each type leads with a specific function in their 1st slot, the opposite of which is their 4th, or “inferior” function.
Understanding our functions allows us to decipher what the natural tendencies and preferences of our brains are, and to understand that they are fundamentally different from others’. MBTI teaches us that being well aware of our 4th function, and all of our functions, enables us to know where our blind spots are, as well as what we need to develop in order to actualise our potential and become a more well-rounded version of ourselves.
I have not made a video about all of the cognitive functions yet, but thankfully, many other awesome KZbinrs have! If you are interested in learning more, below are introductory videos from Frank James, LiJo and Aimee Y respectively:

As an ENFP I dislike the stereotype that we're always on the run and never want to be in the same place/ situation for any length of time. Frank James does that a lot; don't get me wrong, he's got some very accurate takes on ENFPs and I love his videos! And yes, when I visited England a couple of years ago I did buy a return flight ticket from Poland to England months early without booking how to get to Poland, and I did, two days before needing to leave to go to Poland, plan a cross continental trip through 4 countries across Europe to get there, but STILL.

ENFPs or ENTPs. Trying to go back and identify ENFPs I may have met during my life (I won't go into the one who sprung to mind there... she might not be the healthiest example... putting it extremely mildly xD) since I don't really have the pleasure of meeting many. Generally though, I like not just hearing them go off on tangents but they're the few people who I can just talk... and talk... and talk... and talk to. Usually about my life's work. I've noticed though that ENFPs especially are among the few people I feel... safe with? I don't know how to describe it, but it's like a strange kind of feeling of comfort and belonging I generally cannot find from the vast majority of the human race. Also, I've noticed that Ni-users go on tangents as well, but the tangents are sort of less tangential than Ne-users. There's usually a direct relationship between things (or at least context from prior conversations) and then I end up planning to loop back around to the first topic again anyway (though my tangents are still long... and could be full on rants in of themselves... that's another thing I enjoy doing which my ENTP friend seems to like being a receptacle for: my rants which are very Te-toned. xD)

INTJ here: your discussion of Fi really exposed the other side of me. I can of course stand Jenna's Ne's monologue that long as it resonates with my Ni. Me personally, I do get abstract in talks but I quickly run out of things to say as I always narrow down to a point and not say anything else. Helps to have healthy Ne around.

I love watching you two together, your mutual respect is wonderful to see. And after some thought (so as to restrain my INFP desire to go off on tangents), here's the easiest I can describe about how you compliment each other..... Kristin is like music and sound. She can do this up and down the musical and emotional scale. She can squawk like a bird, carry notes high enough to shatter glass, or make noises that turn a warm summer's day into suddenly feeling 40 degrees cooler. She can hum a nursery rhyme, invent funny sounds to make others laugh, or improvise a jazz soundtrack off the cuff. At the other end, she can create the most epic masterpieces of opera or classical music. It's not effortless (nothing worth doing ever is) but the humanity tied up in it gives her music its power.... Jenna has similar powers, but they are more like art. Her conversational tangents bring entirely new worlds into being, all the way from the small insects in the garden to skyscrapers and bridges. And then, she creates the sky itself with all of its weather and beautiful colours. She can extend this power through the mirror, indeed through time and space... Together, your powers are immense. Long beyond the realm of common day may it be so...

Interesting observation I made about myself (ISTP): I got more irritated by Kristin interrupting Jenna’s Ne rambling than the rambling itself. Either I was trying to follow Jenna with my Ti and Ni as best as I can and the interruptions also interrupted that process or my Se just has a higher tolerance level before getting bored - or both.

I deeply appreciate the discussion of Fi alongside moral objectivity. The "you do you" trope can easily be interpreted as completely morally relativistic, and I never related to it at all as an INFP. ok, I wanna answer the questions here as an ENFP. "how good is your memory?" I think mine is good whenever it feels like being good lol. I remember very specific details from my childhood, and when I get a nostalgia attack, it hits HARD. I get sucked into that memory and I just feel wistful. but, I can't remember all the details for the life of me, I can't remember what I wanted to Google when I turned on the computer because I'd already started thinking about something else while I was walking towards it lol "in what way do you think you're intelligent?" I think I'm great at pattern recognition since I do really well at internet iq tests lol, and I like to think I'm very self aware about my own flaws and emotions and I always know exactly what I want. that's a part of emotional intelligence afaik

My high Fe means that I very much value spending time with my friends and engaging with them, but my INFJ contradictoriness means that I get burnt out too easily. 😔 Being able to live in the moment would be nice. Being an ENFP sounds like a lot of fun. I’d love to adopt a persona like that for an hour or two, and see what kind of shenanigans I’d get myself in. Haha Also, I didn’t get the Harry Potter reference at first, but after looking it up I was like “Ohhhh….I can’t believe that I forgot about that. Why didn’t I get that?”

I like how enfps and esfps use their Te to tackle challenges quickly and efficiently. I’m an Enfp and i planned an entire school wide senior prank 24 hours before the last day of school, I emailed literally 500 hundred people, assigned people roles to go buy the prank supplies (plastic forks, water balloons, confetti,) and leveraged the popular kids to rally everyone behind the prank with literally hours left of the school year. When enfps and esfps have their hearts set on something, their Te is a powerhouse.

I’m an ENFP and my sister is an ESTP so I related so much to the dynamic between you two and how Jenna didn’t understand how you can just completely live in the moment. The amount of times I’ve tried to have theoretical conversations with my sister. And she’s just been not into it or like gotten bored after about 2 seconds. I think it’s the reason she stopped playing D&D she didn’t like the fact that we were spending up to 4/5 hours in a fantasy world that is basically all in our heads. D&D is perfect for me as an ENFP and my ENTP uncle (who’s the dm), and everyone who plays is an intuitive type. She really doesn’t like anything that’s not tangible or in the moment. And she also feels drained spending time with our family (who are mostly intuitives apart from 3ish sensors who also get drained lol) Where as I get easily overwhelmed by the world a lot of the time, and find conversations that are theoretical energising (and I’ve had to learn that I need to balance talking about real world things too, and not just ideas and questions I want to explore). Also ENFP’s are the best motivators. I’ve often been described as being everyone’s cheerleader. We just love people and want to see them succeed. Though I am also good at knowing when something is harmful to a person and being able to tell people that and be supportive in a way that is always best for them, because sometimes people can have dangerous ideas. Also the thing about disappearing is so true . I spent like 4 days with friends last week (who btw are all introverts except me 😂) and now I’ve just had a week by my self really and been very much in my own world, learning about whatever I want because Google is amazing. So yeah time to explore ideas and concepts is very important and is what energises me.

lol I (INTJ) have an ESTP brother and every time I would bring up theoretical discussions he would get mad and somehow we would start fighting. growing up we had to share a room and I would go to sleep thinking about superheroes and superpowers, and would start asking him questions like "if you had to be a xmen mutant what power would you have?" somehow 5 min later we would be fighting in the middle of the night because he would get pissed off saying I ask stupid questions. we had a childhood of lots of fighting. My bro has the shortest fuse whenever he's around me, it lights quick and gets put out quick.
@Meg_intheclouds
@Meg_intheclouds 3 жыл бұрын
@@draspotnuk omg I feel that. I also used to ask questions like “most people say invisibility and why I can see how that would be useful to some people the majority wouldn’t need it like surely telekenisis or the ability to slow time would be more fun. Though I guess if you had invisibility you could mess with people that annoyed you but you can also do that with telekensis...” and just ramble and my sister would be like “why do you care, you’re not a superhero” and I was like “no but like what if you were. I feel like you can tell a lot about a person by their answer” and she is just looking at me and progressively getting more annoyed. Because she’s an ESTP as well she can be super insensitive sometimes because she’s fairly unhealthy (tho she’s young so it takes time) and while I’m not the healthiest ENFP knowing I am an ENFP and doing lots of research into the cognitive functions has helped so much. On the other hand the conversations I have with my ENFP dad we can just talk for hours and hours about hypotheticals and ideas without getting bored. We’ve sat up to like 1am before just talking and he always encouraged me to explore. Tho he’s away a lot for work and while my mum is great, she’s an ISTJ so she has limits with how many questions like that she can handle.

Oof, yeah, I'm not so good at being succinct. I think it's cause I feel like once I've said something, I think about what I said, and I go "Hmm...you kind of didn't express this point, and you could possibly cause a misunderstanding with how you said this other thing." See, already this comment is long, lol. Anyway, it's more an insecurity in my ability to convey an idea and a desire to get the message across *crystal* clear - because misunderstanding is something that I really dislike. But I do try sometimes to be succinct, lol.

@@GoVocaloider although you said a lot it was pretty clear, and I followed it. Not to mention, that you've not gone back in and re edited a sentence to clarify, then make it more succinct get distracted, say something else and end up with garble. Which I do a bit of as an entp.. Or just choose to delete it all after the fact as it doesn't have the impact you want.

I like how you guys talk about not understanding each other's dominant functions. I went camping with friends last weekend, and we were sitting around a fire listening to music and enjoying each other's company. I was staring at the (really, really cool and weirdly symmetrical) trees and colorful cliff face, enjoying the music and perfect weather, and just vibing. There were a few friends that were constantly running around trying to do things and change their surroundings because things weren't going exactly the way they had planned/expected for that night. The contrast between their actions and mine got me thinking that maybe my Se is way stronger than I had previously thought. There I was, just sitting and enjoying external sensory stimulation for what it was while some people didn't seem capable of living in the moment and appreciating it for what it is. Did I mistype myself? I found myself pondering why living in this moment was so valuable to me. I started brainstorming the thoughts and motivations that could be underlying other people's behavior. This went on for an hour or 2. Then I realized something. I was thinking way too hard about this, enjoying sensory input as a jumping-off point to explore ideas. Turns out I'm definitely not an Se user, and I still have no idea what Se actually does. - ENFP

THIS WAS AWESOME! I love Jenna. Bring her back any time. I'm also really excited to get videos from your brothers since that will be helpful, not only if they're different types, and different people, but guys and gals are different. Although, all of your videos are appealing to everyone. You're not funny for a woman. You're hilarious because you're Kristin. You are funnier than any professional comedian and among my top 3 favorite entertainers right now. It's between you, Ethan Van Sciver (he's a comic book guy), and another MBTI guy It's Just Kevin as the funniest people who I keep up with, and thank you so much for giving us all something to keep up with. It was really nice the first time I saw your comment section and saw how much fun people were having as opposed to what I've seen among other MBTI enthusiasts areas. It's a reflection of how wonderful you are. And I'm being rigid with calling it MBTI enthusiasts and not community for a reason, but I understand why you do, and, since you read comments, please know if you ever see me putting down that word, please know I'm not talking about you or getting into some purity test garbage. I write in the context of being one person among a bunch of people, so it's just a small voice putting down using the word "communi(s)ty" to plant a seed for young people to be cautious about putting so much of themselves online (because it's not safe and I don't want people getting hurt by creeps, or becoming slaves to their computers) and because of how much people making golden calves of things or themselves over leaving room for God; and it's similar to why I will put down the "you do you" expression as telling someone to "do themselves in" which you and Jenna addressed, and why I try to avoid using the word "pride" even though using it for things such as "being proud of country" is good because it's shows gratitude to God and for so many people, but because of sinful vainglory pride being embraced culturally ...it ties into why I use "communi(s)ty" because of the anti-God sentiment with communists and why I put "you do you" with someone to embrace unhealthy or sinful activity which will do themselves in. But I know that's not what you mean when you use it. I don't think you should ever get into this kind of stuff because you are just an amazing light for people with everything you do, and I hope you never feel pressured to make certain content because of some purity test garbage. I'm just hoping to plant a little seed, and I'm telling you this because I think you're amazing, and hearing Jenna talk about how much you care about people, I don't want to add to anything that would make you sad or anything like that because you're amazing. Jenna was right to praise you're intelligence because you are clearly intelligent, but better yet you're smart. I think people are born with their intelligence and physical beauty, but those gifts aren't necessarily attractive in and of themselves, because it's what you do with them that makes a person smart or gracious, and you , Kristin, are both smart and gracious. Whatever man you marry will be one of the blessed men on the planet, but until then, thank you so much for sharing your smartness and graciousness with us here. You are seriously amazing And Jenna is also smart and gracious. This was so great! I didn't even comment much on the video, but I'm maybe I'll get a chance later. I loved all those visuals you put in with the word blurbs and questions for your viewers. I heard the superb pun that Jenna missed! I got a big dumb smile on my face from that! haha To quote the greatest Christmas movie of all time Jingle All the Way, this video was "fun AND educational." Thank you so much! Have an incredible weekend. God bless you two, and your families.

I adore Jenna and the energy she brings into the videos. Kristen, I like your videos a lot. You have helped me and my ISTJ friends understand each other. I like hearing about the differences in Ne and Se, and the tiny edits of 'Te tone' and 'Se zoning out' help me recognize how I react to others and how other respond to me. This video was very insightful about the things that make the Se users zone out. Whenever Jenna became excited and began to explore a concept, I felt more excited too and moved to the edge of my chair. Jenna was then at some point cut off, while my Ne was like, BUT BUT- because she is a very interesting person. The paradox of bubbly Ne and juror Te, is also very well represented here. I'm happy to have Jenna as interviewee represent the how an individual who happens to be an ENFP functions in the world. Truely happy with her presence here! And grateful for Kristen for giving her a platform. Thank you both! Those breakdowns of the conversation must have been a lot of editing work, but SO valuable, because that is really teaching me about the cognitive functions in a way no other MBTI-focused channel does. Very insightful. You already do more things that is unique for your channel, so don't change the recipe, I love the 16-types sketches and the interviews. You portray the ENFP most accurate, and that makes your channel one of my favourite of all channels out there on the interwebz!

There's something that Jenna explained that I'm grateful for, when they hear something and want to bring up their own personal experience it's not because they're self centered. They just want to share ideas and explore new things and topics while keeping the conversation interesting. I used to assume that they just really love talking about themselves, but I understand their intentions now. Thank you for this video it was insightful! ❤️ - Enfj

I think it’s because the fastest way to explain something is to use an example from our own life, because we’ve experienced it, lived it, thought about it, thoroughly analysed it and categorised it. That’s usually why :) Ne shows me which experience is connected to what you’re talking about and Fi wants to tell it to you because it sees you as an individual. NeFi also needs to understand you and need you to understand them, that’s why they try to show you they understand what you’re talking about :)

Oh, I got something! Oh, wait, first off, I appreciate what you said about an ENFP talking about an idea over himself or herself. I loved hearing Jenna talk, and as long as it's safe for the person to do so, getting all that helpful insight is great. People listen to podcasts for a reason. So, is the difference between an Se user when it comes to people that you can mentally snap back and pick up where you left off with a person if you have something that brings it to mind--otherwise, it's out of sight and out of mind? But an Ne person will be thinking of people from the past such as how Jenna described thinking about an old teacher or student from the past (I forget which one she said). Does she mentally snap back like nothing changed with the person like you? I was thinking that I was either an ESTP, ISTP, ENTP, or an INTP., so I, especially appreciate the Se and Ne comparison. Thanks again!

One way i've found that i am intelligent as an ENFP is my intuitive intelligence. It's like experiencing things without actually experiencing them. i've found i am like a sponge when it comes to learning. i decided, one day, to try and develop this natural ability further and i could eventually copy something exactly after observing a few times. i could also feel things that others felt, in a way. It's like we're always receiving information from the world around us without trying. It's quite humbling honestly....and so exquisitely beautiful.

When Kristin said that Jenna likes to repeat what Kristin said in different words, that was Fi - it was about their intentions. And she clarified it. Because that is what introverted functions do - explain their function to those with their extroverted counterpart. Ne does not do that. Like any extroverted function, they do "and what about..", or "what if...", and expect introverted function to do the clarification. Se does this by asking Si about their comfort with the external environment. Because Ni has mastery about it's construction. Just like Si has mastery about the "look and feel" of the environment

And yes, ENFPs are incredibly smart at understanding how things work, and exploring the systems for how things operate. I think the reason a stereotype against that exists is because Ne-Te is figuring out how something works as they talk about it. So they aren’t necessarily “sure” about it before they share, but if you’re willing to listen to them sort it out outloud, you can learn so much from them!

Absolutely! I find this is a highly misunderstood aspect of Ne more generally. My brother (ENTP) and I were discussing this just the other day. Perhaps some people don't have the patience or tolerance socially to listen to an Ne-dom refining their thoughts aloud (perhaps they think we're talking for talking's sake or we are waffling etc - definitely understandable assumptions to make). In everyday life I find that when I share my thoughts in social contexts I need a good few minutes otherwise people tend to take my first statement as indicative of what I believe, when it's really just a jumping off point for discussion and refining 😂

@@justjennaish I work closely with an ENFP on one of my projects and not going to lie, there was definitely an adjustment period of learning how to 'keep up' with Ne when we first started working together. As an Ni-dom myself, I was trying to follow every Ne thought through to the end to fully consider each thing that came up, and quite frankly, found it tiring. But then I realized how Ne works, that not all ideas that come up have been 'filtered' already, and now I can fully enjoy just being along for the ride and observing. Let Ne get all the thoughts out of their head, then revisit the top ones. So I'll just make mental note of the themes of the ideas or the ones that seem most feasible to circle back to. And really, learning how to be there with Ne has really really helped me be present in conversations and with other people. The only reason i struggled with it before was because I was always prioritizing listening to my own Ni before listening to other people, and now I can turn that off more to walk alongside Ne tangents. Anyway, I greatly appreciate Ne! :)

24:00 - I feel like I'm growing in my knowledge and ability to really connect the types with subtle behaviours that they exhibit, and I got to say, I think it's thanks to this channel. I think like Kristin said she does in a previous video, I want to use MBTI to better understand the people around me and be able to use that to smooth out the crinkles in our interactions and I really appreciate all this amazing information. ALSO! 0:31 - I appreciate the value behind this. Privacy is very important - it allows us to claim parts of our lives for ourselves, even if we happen to share other parts of it with others. It gives us a sense of control and stability. And in this kind of situation, where one is sharing more details of their life than usual with a greater number of people than usual, privacy becomes more important still. Especially because nowadays, we as a culture and society are becoming more and more aware of things like parasocial relationships and how it can negatively impact both sides of the relationship. On my end, I try to distance myself from the people I interact with on KZbin to a degree - no matter how much my brain goes "friend???" I try to step back and realize how my comments and posts are simply a conveniently structured and cherry picked presentation of myself. My interactions on the Internet can in no way really represent me as a full human being, flaws and all. And I wouldn't necessarily want to give away every little detail about myself either. And the same applies to everyone around me. While interacting with people on KZbin brings me some measure of joy and gives me a feeling of connection, it is not something I want my life to revolve around or be defined by. 30:26 - That harmony at the end! #justsisterlythings

When you said "What is nothing" I did the EXACT same thing that she did. "What IS nothing?" What does it mean to Se out? Like I understand it's a sort of daze that you go through, like when I Fi out and just completely am inside my own feelings, but what is it LIKE for you to Se out? Also really appreciated the Fun Facts, like how she gets energized by exploring ideas but to you it's draining. ESFP: Oh my god this took 2 hours. ENFP: Not bad, we made good time! Awww thank you for this sweet comment. I appreciate it. In answer to your S-ing out question, it's just a moment where you realise there's a tangent coming and the person is talking to flesh out their ideas more than to know your thoughts/see your reaction, and also you've already understood/know what the person is saying, but they are going on about examples, qualifiers etc and you've already got the point so it's no longer "engaging" I guess? My Ni wants the person to get to the point succinctly, rather than talking around it. But ironically, I definitely can talk around points myself. If I had something to do with my hands, or if there was music playing, or if I was engaging in some mindless physical craft, I would be MUCH more engaged and capable of listening well. I like to think I've become better at not S-ing out, and I rarely do it when I meet a new person (because all new people are fascinating to me), but in this particular video, I already knew Jenna's thoughts and points (esp cause we had filmed it all the night before), so it was particularly hard for me to remain energised. I love Jenna and her ideas though!!

you guys are helping me a lot knowing myself better. Personal tests always says I´m intp, even when I lie, my friend says I´m talking idea and wiki, kind and weird. On the other hand I´m something middle of everything, for example not shy at all, never, or even quiet if have something to say, like intp stereotype would be. I even like small talking, mostly out of topic things and then acting more like entp, challenging. And if local shop and buying a lot off toilet paper, I might joke to next client from me, gonna drink whisky and eat a lot tacos tonight, so I really need all this paper tomorrow. Then i enjoy customers reactions, like getting very confused around me. I like listen you and your videos, but this kind stuff where you are talking more or less each other, I drift away in my thoughts and it was hard getting away of thought while writing this comment, would worm benefit or revert if it have a hand.

I LOVE this! I'm an ENFP, so it was cool to listen to another ENFP describe herself and like relate to it. Also, Harry Potter was the first reference, not sure about the second. Oh and I don't like doing the dishes, but when I do anything I'm constantly thinking. I notice when I drive I think a lot about things then I'm like how am I here already (if it's a familiar route). Anyways, thanks Kristen I enjoy watching your videos.

Oh I see why people say that ENFPs make everything about themselves...I totally do that, but as you said, it's just wanting to explore an idea with that person. That feeling when we throw the ball and they catch it and throw it back, omg! A beautiful friendship is born.

After watching full part 1 & 2 of E*FP vibe, I still wasn't prepared for that. I cried with laughter ;D This video, your channel and "everything" is awesome! :D P.S. (for Jenna from INTJ) 17:10 Jenna: "and morality, which I believe is objective" Me: Wait, wait, wait! This requires a deeper explanation! ;) Why did you say it with such certainty in your voice? Of course, this isn't so obvious! Explain yourself! J: "Topic for another time" Me: Lucky you, you won't get away from this ;)

Apparently, I am 1 of 4 ENFPS in my life right now and we are all glaringly different! My brother, my brother-in-law, my good friend, and myself all got types as ENFP. Honestly, the more I notice our differences the more I question if we are all the same type. But the fact is, we are all human and we are all complex and no two people are going to be identical because an online test says our brains function the same way. Some major differences (because the minor similarities and differences would make up a novel.) My brother: Claims to be energized by people but kind of hates leaving his house to be with them (it's weird.) He grew up in the same home as I did (a conservative Chiristian home), and he was angry and rebellious from his early teens. He became the emo guy at school, his anger was insane (he damaged things in the home when it got out of hand). He hated the concept of Christianity because it seemed limiting, so his Ne sent him on a journey to explore other spiritual concepts. To this day he hasn't latched on to one, but I don't think he wants to. He just wants to know that they exist. He very into art and music and his entire way of life is creating both mediums. His job is simply a way to pay the bills. My brother-in-law: Also raised in a conservative Christian home, also rebelled in his teens, but not to the same extreme. He's very in tune with nature and works as a landscape and does Arborist work on the side. He contemplates the deep and complex meanings of the world. He loves to talk with people (unlike my brother) and digs super deep into them. He doesn't judge them, he just wants to understand them. He thinks TV is noise pollution and is very goal driven. My friend: She fits the stereotypes of the ENFP. Full of high energy, struggles to sit still and focus on one task for too long. When she's watching TV or something, she is doing a craft or some other project at the same time. She works with children and gets to really tap into her youthful side all day long and we notice that when we hang out with her. Her Ne is so strong that she can come up with 10 possible things to do on a weekend and we get overwhelmed thinking about them. To her, no human is a stranger, but another soul she wants to discover more about. She's very "Phoebe" from Friends. While she shares the same religious views as I do, she doesn't shy away from exploring others and seeing the value in them. Me: I really fluctuate between wanting to be around people or wanting to become a hermit. My Ne doesn't really tap into the grander world complexities as some ENFPs do (all thought lately I've been wondering if we're all ants taking on the form of humans, and there is a world above us full of powerful gods, just watching us and laughing). My Ne rather focuses on fantasy worlds and characters and magic systems. I love, when watching TV/Movies or playing video games, tapping into and exploring the morally grey characters. The psychology behind everyone is what fascinates me. I can idealize people and get disappointed when I realize they aren't what I imagined them to be. I'm way more grounded when it comes to BIG IDEAS, but that doesn't mean I don't like to explore them from time to time. Having grown up in the same Christian home as my brother, we appeared to be complete opposites, and most people would say the same to this day. I was bullied in school, he was the cool guy. I was welcomed at Church, he felt rejected. I abided by the rules of the house, he tried to break them constantly. What it came down to, was his Ne wouldn't accept the limitations of religion, where as my Fi has it so engrained in it that if I ever turned my back on it I felt like I was betraying myself, so I found comfort in it rather than trying to escape from it. As an ENFP, I obviously could have made this much longer. I just wanted to make it clear that all ENFPs will look different from one another. It's what makes humans so fascinating!
