If you add a semicolon ( ; ) between each command you can run the entire list of commands at once. Just copy the entire list of commands and put semicolon ( ; ) between each. Definitely a time saver

This pertains to the fire cube 2nd generation that I just purchased. I have installed Tech Doctor's ice box configuration, and the results are even more amazing on this device. I have over 1 Gb of free memory available by shutting off the garbage amazon has running in the background. This is not what techdoctor has shared in this video, but I thought it was worth sharing. I have about 750 MB available doing this video's method on my 2nd gen firetv box from 2015. I would love to shut down the Amazon Apps store as it continually restarts after force stopping it. I have tried freezing it on my 1st gen fivetv cube but when I open downloader, the store wants to start which causes problems. Amazing speed and performance out of both devices. BIG thumbs up!!!! I would take a picture and upload it here but I do not know how. I can do so much techwise until we add pictures. haha

For those of you who want to do this on PC remember adbfire (or adblink as it is sometimes called) still works. You can use the adb shell function using that application to send the commands to your fire device.

I used adblink too with the adb shell option and it worked fine but as soon as you restart the fire stick it starts to download updates and basically puts the uninstalled items back 🤔

Most informative vid I have come across about OS 5.2. I had that connection problem with ADB shell and couldn't figure out why. Now I know for next time. Trying to help person I sold 5.2 stick to. I just installed wolf launcher (your tutorial which by the way is a great launcher), launch on boot app but I want to disable stock launcher. (don't want processes running in background from stock launcher). Any tutorials on how to disable 5.2 would be great!!! I now have nvidia shield 8.2.2 and third party widgets are blocked but customizing wolf launcher on it looks great and yes, I have your launch manager on it.

not seeing any recent discussion on this tutorial (also posted on a similar video). Am having problems (random crash of remote control) with my Fire Stick 4k, and just decided to reverse all the modifications (still using the USB memory). My stick 4k has the Echo speakers running remote in theater mode, and I do use PRIME music and movies. Just be careful and observant, and be ready to reverse everything so you can have a functioning stick. Problem with modifications is that it can be a tower of cards, that will fall with one card (mod) done; with any one modification requiring you to go back to factory default, which would be painful to reinstall and set up multiple apps again.

Just a heads up, if you are comfortable using a command line, it should be possible to run adb on other platforms such as windows without an android emulator. I am using adb in my java class to interface with my phone and android studio ide and i am fairly certain that you could just install and use adb right there on the terminal whether its mac windows or linux.

Yes, you are correct. You can install any ADB client on Windows / Mac and connect directly to your Android device

Hello! First of all I love your videos and they help me a lot! Second I really like the Nvidia Shield TV. Currently I have 2nd gen fire stick, is it worht the upgrade? I mainly use it for Twitch streams, KZbin and IPTV service trough stbemu.

Shield TV would be overkill for just KZbin / IPTV. I would recommend trying the 4K firestick from Amazon, see if suits your needs (you can always return back to Amazon if you're not happy with it.)

Hi TechDoctorUK, I have done removing as instructed. First of all, I could not remove: com.amazon.kso.blackbird , com.amazon.tv.csapp, com.amazon.tv.support, com.amazon.tv.releasenotes with error: DELETE_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR But I was happy, because after reboot I had approx. 300MB free memory. BUT after few minutes, I checked again, and free memory went back to about to usual approx. 150MB. So it seems Firestick is pushing those processes back. I tried to repeat the process of removing but now I get error DELETE_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR for all. Could you please look in this and let me know... otherwise, BIG thank you for your efforts.

If you issue a pm list packages you can see which ones are there and confirm if the ones that you received a "Success" message for have come back. I rebooted my device multiple times and none of my removed packages came back. Regarding the free memory, that will always be fluctuating as you device starts processing things in the background. The main thing is, you should have less things running in the background compared to before.

@@TechDoctorUK Removed packages appear in pm list packages. Maybe you have FS updating setting disabled, I have it enabled and maybe Amazon is pushing this packages back. But then why can I remove them again... it seems they are removed somehow, but they are still appearing back in the list and running.

I am still testing that but personally, I don't see how we could fully remove system apps without root access. If you notice, the command mentions a "user 0", so more likely they are being removed for you (so they wont run) but they will still be on the system. Will test more and report back

The green download button does not work it will not parse so i found a work around that worked for me. Go to techdoctors in firestick downloader, once on screen go to search top right corner type tduk. Now scroll down to your os version i for instance i have an old firestick so i chose tduk firestick debloat June 5,2020 it worked for me. But it comes up with my phone info not the amazon built in apps. This is driving me nuts. Shops shut can't get a 4k somebody help me out tia guys.

Unplugged your device from the power outlet for 10 to 15 seconds then restarts. if issue continues go to factory reset. start over from beginning set up device.

Lo I’d say it does help with some air flow, the old sticks seem to get quite hot whilst the 4K stick barely gets warm.
