Success! had a bit of trouble getting the debloter app to connect but I found restarting my fire stick makes it connect everytime. Thanks a lot. I checked if they were uninstalled and they are apart from 2 but my availabile memory hasn't gone that much but it has gone up.

Ipvanish if no one knows: unlimited device connections with your account and has been since June. Keep ipvanish running smoothly: Use different connection servers IE: do not have all of your devices on the same location and server. Example: if you have X number of devices connected to USA New York and different servers, spread them out to different locations: USA Chicago, USA Miami, etc. *Even use different TCP, UDP, scramble per devices - I prefer using UDP or scramble for devices I watch movies, TV shows with and use the location that is the closet to me - This helps in keeping a steady/fast speed with no buffering TCP - is perfect just for web searching, looking at websites, reading emails, KZbin, etc.

Good job @techdr (Just a FYI only: I noticed 1 thing after following the video with movie load times only when with step 1 and not with step 2 - bloatware) I did some testing between 2 firesticks. 1 stick I did both steps and the 2nd stick only bloatware removal. The stick with both done slows down movie, TV show load time or doesn't load at all. This is with any APK or going to websites. **Not complaining at all just info only**

I love this tool on both OS's & Updater. Is there anyway to automatically clear the cache on the built in amazon screensaver when you reboot? I have found that cache to be up to 400mb by itself.

Clear the cache/data and disable the screensaver. What's cool is even when you disable the screensaver the screen will still turn completely black reducing power consumption and any burn-in effects. Plus you get to keep your 300/400 Megs of storage.

worked like a charm! you have the absolute best fire devices help, tutorials, etc. I was wondering if you did a video in the past about how to utilize external storage for apps on older fire devices? hot to get the data files into external storage, run apps from external storage? I know there are a few tutorials you have that do this somewhat, and I believe I've seen this on the 4k devices, but not the older ones. I have a fire TV box gen 2 and I bought it used thinking I could do that because it has spots for SD card and USB. I couldn't even get the Amazon game controller to work with it and it's the gaming edition too, lol. I have an Xbox one controller that works fine, but I had even called them and they said that they dropped support for the controller. I suppose I just need the proper adb commands idk maybe try to root the thing too. I just would like to utilize the device since it's supposed to be pretty powerful. thank you for all the help, you are the best!

@@TechDoctorUK - They do & especially since I expanded on the Debloat 2 tool on the 4K including 11 more for a total of 51 which includes Prime Video. I use Ice Box to freeze them. Means on each 4K I have ADB Remote, IceBox, Shizuku & FireOS 6 Debloater. There are 40 as you know in Debloater & you can also Freeze - IMDb TV, Screensaver, Amazon Metrics Service, Amazon Jackson 19, Auto Timezone Service, Com, Amazon.Client.Metrics, Contacts Storage, Fire TV Recast, Live TV Settings, Not In My House, Shop Amazon. I notice no ill effects freezing these other 9 processes & 2 applications. Perhaps thru your testing efforts I have missed something potentially freezing something to the detriment of the device without realizing it ? Thanks again for the Gen 2 Debloat video, will start on 4 of my son's devices as a start - he lives only a mile away.

@@thomaspollard8407 - Before Shizuku & Ice Box, I used command lines in ADB. Easiest way is to go back & view TechDoctor April 20 on Freezing, download Shizuku & Ice Box then set them both up. The extra 11 I named my initial response to TechDoctor above - you can also Freeze - IMDb TV, Screensaver, Amazon Metrics Service, Amazon Jackson 19, Auto Timezone Service, Com.Amazon.Client.Metrics, Contacts Storage, Fire TV Recast, Live TV Settings, Not In My House, Shop Amazon. Method to utilize the full benefit is to turn off auto-update, use ES File Explorer to uninstall the large applications you are freezing then run FireOS 6 Debloater followed by IceBox to freeze the rest. It is really easy & a 2 minute job using a UGreen usb3.0 Hub together with a full size bluetooth computer mouse & a keyboard both with dongles. Periodically Amazon will update 1 or more of the apps seldom the processes & you will need to refreeze & re-run the Debloater tools. For the most part my sticks fly & unless I am streaming a slow server I seldom buffer.

Which Amazon apps can I delete with my ES pro (before or after installing the Deboat tool, and in which order?), and still be able to watch Prime videos? I left the 3 boxes you reccomended unchecked in my Debloat tool, so Prime would still play videos. Though I have not seen all the memory return in "Manage Installed Applications." Before your Debloat tool, I manually deleted many apps in my ES pro, to improve my memory greatly, though the apps eventually always returned, and I had to keep deleting them over and over for better live streaming memory. Can I actually "delete" the Amazon Alexa, Music, Free Time, Amazon System Web View, Aria, Dial Service, Fire TV Player, Gloria, Kso Blackbird, Multimodal Smarthome, News, OttSsoCompanion, Shpo Amazon, and ssdservice apps in my ES pro, and still watch videos on Prime? Those apps above use a LOT of memory!...Thanks!

Hello TDUK I have just tried this on a few firesticks with the 5.x OS and their is no way to prevent the auto update from reinstalling the removed applications. I'm no "expert" about all this Firestick info like the Tech Doctor UK and Troypoint psartana, but I am a tech "geek" that started programming computers back in the 1980's, I own a sound and lighting company, which is all tech equipment, and I am a recording studio engineer. Usually when something is working well, I don't do "updates." Everytime you do an "update," you are actually "inviting" the company that created your software to "stick their noses" into your equipment and software (including computers and cell phones). I always look at the "updates" to see if there is a description, and choose the ones that I might want. Often, these companies (especially Amazon!) will claim that these "updates" are "bug fixes," when in reality, it's just a way fro them to get into your device and re-set everything to THEIR defaults. Just a little food for thought...Peace!

Turn off ADB on your device, wait 10 seconds and turn it back on. Exit the tool, open it again and click connect

I have done also 10 and more second off of ADB, and turning it back, but no luck - when I click connect, there is very short time pop-up window, which I can't read (it is to fast closing down) and no connection. @@TechDoctorUK No sorry for the confusion it's been like it for a while powered down and reset, I have tried loads of things, even put on a tv right next to the router, just 2.4, it used to work fine, luckily my 2.4 isnt that slow ok for Amazon and netflix, usless if you connect a vpn though, it's nowhere near the 5g speed, just wondered if you (or anybody out there) had experienced this and had a fix, thanks anyhow.

I have downloaded the newest plug-in for the downloader and it keeps on saying that downloading not supported at this time on your site? Then when I try to download a DB remote and your newest debloat tool it says the same thing. If I try to download it from the filelink store it says (parse error) there was a problem parsing the package. OK I’ve got everything d/l properly but when I go to run the ADB shell the First time it will not connect to my network, So when I try a second time it goes to connect to the network but is stuck in it never ending loop And for some reason it does not show me the check box to always connect to the network so I am puzzled and can’t go any farther. I ran the process on the 2nd gen fire tv and the 2nd gen fire tv stick. The stick has a lot less ram to start with so I am presuming that is the device you are using? its not just about the free memory, the fact that you have less things running in the background means your device should perform better.

KZbin in Windows and iOS has a speed reducer control. That’ll allow you to follow better.
