How close is North Korea to having a nuclear missile that can hit the USA? And can we really believe everything we hear about the secret state?

@@anton161817 Keyword, directly. Just because "only" 600k were directly executed doesn't mean the government wasn't responsible for the 62 million deaths. Stalin was in some part responsible for those deaths.

@@MYG no there were no 60 million by stalin or 80 million by Mao. A one child policy was forced in China because their population got too high. Two rationales here for China: 1. Yes some died during its industrual revolution but so did British people died during theirs. Drastic environmental change does this 2. In canada, our standard of living is growing each year and our ckst of living is higher than real wages, our child rate goes down because we cant afford too many children Well im Chinas case millions were lifted out of poverty. Therefore real wages went up and capability to afford mire than one child. These 60-80 million is BS

About the unicorn lair: the original article in the korean media (which is public and can be found online on their sites) stated that a cave with a manuscript dating around 900-1300 has been found and the manuscript mentioned PyongYang as the capital of the Korean Empire, at the entrance of the cave the words: "unicorn lair" were found engraved. So basically they never claimed it really was an unicorn lair...

And it’s not even a dictatorship, I’ve heard North Koreans talking about how the human rights of Americans sound horrible compared to DPRK. I mean it truly is a socialist state, the workers control the means of production. And it is democratic as well, they have a legitimate voting system. DVDs and western movies aren't illegal in the DPRK. Smartphones are widely distributed and when I visited the DPRK, they showed Frozen in a movie theatre. Many kids also were fans of European football clubs like FC Barcelona or Manchester United, and the games are broadcasted on state TV. There is also an international movie festival in Pyongyang that features indie flicks and alternative directors from Europe. The DPRK isn't nearly as closed off as people seem to assume.

I didn't get the part where you say they wouldn't be able to get rid of the nukes without detonating them. Why would you need to detonate a nuclear weapon to get rid of it? Unlike conventional explosives, a nuclear weapon won't just explode for anything other than the specific detonation sequence, which varies depending on the type of nuclear weapon it is. This mean it won't just explode for no reason, or from moving it, or dropping it, or because of heat or any other thing.

16:30 "even if it was possible to destroy all of them, they wouldn't be able to strike without causing them to detonate, creating a mushroom cloud across the Korean Peninsula" Nonsense. Making a nuclear weapon explode properly is very difficult when you're actually trying to do it, and you definitely can't do it by accident. If *anything* is out of sequence in the detonation of a nuclear weapon, it will fail to create runaway fission/fusion. Such an event might scatter radioactive material in a small area, but it definitely won't create a mushroom cloud. Unless you activate a nuclear bomb in *just* the right way, what you have is just a conventional bomb which scatters radioactive material, AKA a dirty bomb. The only way you'd get a mushroom cloud in such a scenario, would be if the conventional explosive you dropped on the nuke was powerful enough to create one by itself.

It's not fake, he actually defected but not for a "better life" he defected because he murdered someone and didn't want to face the consequences of his actions.

i wouldn't be too sure about that. there are american nukes stationed in germany and germany is a lot closer than the US mainland. And they handle those nukes quite roughly. they used drop them on concrete every couple of years in the cold war.
