Never heard the grape thing for New Years. You're about to have me camped under the table with grapes, grape soda, grape tomatoes, wine...need to cover all bases. I grew up with tradition of cooking collard greens and Hoppin John (black-eyed peas and rice) for money and good luck in the new year. I hope everyone have a safe and happy New Year!
