I love the wicker basket! You could put a simple cylinder vase inside it (probably could find one at hobby lobby) and use it for fresh flowers, that would be lovely and so cosy for autumn

I am also in decluttering mode, which is why I watched this video. But you really hit me right in the feels when you pulled out the baby scale. Our 6-month old struggled a lot to gain weight at the beginning, and I had a very hard time breastfeeding her. I was obsessive. Constantly Googling. I almost bought a baby scale, and my husband, like yours, was like, "You probably shouldn't buy that." It just brought tears to my eyes to think of that time and how dark it was, and then it made me happy to know how much sweeter and more joyful motherhood is now. I love your videos, Michelle. They are uplifting to me as a first-time mom. Thank you!

That is an awesome job decluttering. I have been into it myself and it has been so freeing. I was wondering if you should move the books down one shelf and the stuff on the second shelf up. It seems like it would be aesthetically more pleasing since it is a collection of books. Just a thought, no judgement.

You could put some kind of shelf in the pantry to help get things off the floor! Menards has those metal 3 shelf ones for a decent price. I have several of those in my home!

That wicker basket, I have one with a lid for my bathroom. I put girly stuff in there or cotton balls in the smaller one. Just to hide stuff and less visual clutter!

You could put a thick plastic bag in the woven pot and use it as a planter, or put kitchen utensils to have on the counter Toilet paper rolls might also fit in there!

Well I’m doing the same thing decluttering . I started with my clothes. I am donating 4 large bags of clothes. I have to get a better system with all the the papers I receive. Thank you for the encouragement!!

It's insane how much stuff we accumulate and I live alone . I'm (very) guilty of overconsumption, especially when it comes to any beauty or self care products. The makeup, body scrubs, perfume, candles. Always looking for that hit of dopamine. Thanks for the video, it's encouraging me to start the dreaded task of decluttering. Just a tip for you :) the trash bag for the diaper pail is supposed to go around the ring inside, not the diaper pail itself. Putting it around the ring will really help with the smell and also looks much nicer!

I really liked your point about using what you have. I love these types of home vlogs but I dread it when people use it as an excuse to head to their nearest Target / Walmart to pick up stuff. Content creators seem to do that every season and it seems to wasteful and bad for the planet. I don’t know if it’s a US thing but everyone drives cars and seems to shop a lot so seems a very consumerist based society but then a lot of people talk about living a more natural lifestyle so the messaging is a bit confusing. Although maybe you guys just don’t have a public transport system the way we do in Europe. But not to labour the point too much, I love it when people pull out old stuff and re use! 👏
