Decorating a Christmas Gingerbread House! | One Pot Chef

Today I challenge myself to decorate a pre-assembled Christmas Gingerbread House - despite having absolutely ZERO decorating skills. Wackiness ensues! Happy Holidays
everyone and see you in the new year :)
Ingredients:
1 Heapful of Frustration
1 Metric Tonne of Tears and Recriminations
Gummi Bears that have stuck together
No where near enough icing for a project of this size
A sprinkle of Inappropriate references
Preparation Time: About 5 minutes
Cooking Time: Oh, this thing is cooked alright…

Don't worry about it there's no write or wrong way to decorate a gingerbread house. My only suggestion is to make some of your own icing next time, those kits never give you enough.

After the first attempt at decorating a pre made gingerbread house, I now buy an extra container of icing. My daughter and I have a great time together decorating and eating extra icing! Thank you for the great video and laughs😹

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I tried making one of those when I was a lot younger and more patience. It was a total disaster! I even put the house together but everything fell apart. Yours actually don't look to bad. I would have just ate the gummy bears. Not sure there was instructions back then either. We got snow last night. Send some of that 100 degrees towards Indiana. I don't like anything below 70F. I was laughing right along with you. 🎅🌲❄🎊🎉

We don't have gingerbread houses already put together. I wish we did. I couldn't even get my walls to stay stood up. Anyway, if I were you, I'd either make my own frosting or use a canned frosting and choose my own candies.

Don't be so hard on yourself! I've made the holiday houses for 35 years. Royal icing is needed to hold the candy to the house. Gum drops are placed on the peak of the roof and chocolate wafers for shingles. I would decorate with candy canes and M&M's. I would often fill the house w/candy before adding the roof. And you were not given enough materials in the kit. But you did a great job! Happy Holidays!!

Its beeeeaautiful! Honestly you cant be more ambitious with a gingerbread house kit. They dont supply enough icing for you to have fun and be more creative with. I ended up making my own icing once. Its more fun when you have lots of different decorations to play around with not just the handful of decorations they give you in a kit
