Tough conditions glad you guys got through it. Have you heard of a slip fix for PVC pipe repair.

When jobs like that become bad it's best to get a mini excavator and dig the slop out. Slower yes, but better quality base and a whole of a lot mess to clean up later. Take it from a guy in the rainy state of Oregon where we setup jobs in the rain. I'm like you guys, work for my dad. 4th generation.

It¨s interesting to see how you do your concrete work in a warmer climate. I live in Sweden and it gets alot colder in the winter so our way of doing outside concrete job needs to be done in a different way.

You guys are amazing! Amazing in that I cannot see how you make any profit on some of your jobs! Those sprinkler lines and wires should have been located before you put a blade in the ground. Also, at 2:20, it's apparent to me there isn't a contract. The indecisiveness of the homeowner should tell you that you need to sketch the proposed scope of work and get everything in writing. I'll bet there are lots of lawsuits based on "I thought".

These are the type of concrete videos I like you get right to the point of what the job is going to be. Unlike other channels who spend 10 minutes showing themselves talking to their cats,taking out their household garbage, and buying their coffee in the morning, lol.

That little apot around the garage door to thr new walkway, i would have cemented that whole spot in around the corner. I would keep walking over that grass on the corner making it bald.

I never start a job when it’s wet, for the reasons you experienced in this video. I’d rather walk away from a job if I can’t do it when the environment is conducive to civil work. I do, however, like your focus on doing good work, but, you set yourself up for failure when it’s not the right moment.
@OdellCompleteConcrete5 ай бұрын
The job will dry out quicker when opened up
@jasonwilliamson9905 ай бұрын
@@OdellCompleteConcrete lol, that job never dried out and cost you a lot more time and effort. I will say that at least you don’t wait around for the weather to be perfect, otherwise you may never have got the job done. I would recommend using an excavator down the road for this kind of work.

I wouldnt do a repair like that inder a slab. I would cut on both sides and put a new pipe in. Also, i dont recommend using that "Red Hot Blue Glue" that you used. It doesnt chemicaly weld the pvc together like a normal primer and glue does. After about 5 years, those joints just slide apart. Ive had so many repairs over the years fixing joints with that glue. Its nice to use for small repairs, but a permanent pipe you cant get to after, i wouldnt use it from my experience.
