I’m 43 yo and I remember I was in a foster home I was about 5 or 6 and the lady use to serve us this (minus the alcohol) we use to ask her what it was and she would say juice for the eyes. It was so good and she put condensed milk in the oatmeal too. I miss that home but I am going to make me some carrot juice tomorrow. Thank you for opening up a great memory for me 😊

Enjoying your recipe now. Just not tolerant to dairy,so I substituted Condensed Milk with Almond Milk vanilla flavour. So I did not have to add sugar. Big up Deddy!

No, it shouldn't. The rum is just another 'flavour', in other words, the alcohol is creative choice. Notice that he said some people would put Dragon or Guiness in their carrot juice. My mother and grand do it this way, sometimes using Malta too. It's just creative liberty. It's like preparing sorrel with or without rum. Again, creative liberty. Hope this helps.
