Kind of prefer GameCube version because of GBA to use as Tingle's Tuner, and to place 5 statues on Tingle's Tower, plus with Tingle, the game becomes a two player game, except he doesn't help with the bosses. Originally, Link was meant to age after each dungeon, showing his growth from a child into an adult that could defeat Ganon and mirroring the transition from child to adult like The Hero of Time. The developers couldn't get it to work well enough, as it meant creating multiple different models of Link that would need to be able to interact with the same objects as a child, a young teenager, an olderr teenager and then again as an adult.

Yeah, there IS a bit of "railroading" for the first few islands (which are in straight, orthogonal directions from each other), but after the Forest Haven the map opens up QUITE a lot. (Not 100% yet, but...) Fun facts: - When using the Grappling Hook to get around, it actually wraps realistically around the geometry of whatever you're grappling onto -- i.e. it may wrap around a wide post only once before latching, while wrapping around a narrow post 3 to 4 times before latching. - Wind Waker has a "New Game Plus" mode after beating it. It is no "second quest", but you _should_ give it a try, at least long enough to meet Tetra and the pirates!

Since I doubt you're going to play this game twice I will translate the Hylian language as we go along. Sometime I won't translate immediatly tough because some of these dialogues contain spoilers for future events of the game. Dee, this was another great video!! Here's a few tips and tricks from my past playthroughs: - At the part with throwing Medli for her to get to the entrance of Dragon Roost, you could've changed the wind direction with the Wind's Requiem to make the breeze point to the north! But that's just a small detail, nothing big. - Those birds that sound like sheep are called Helmarocs! If you want, collect 20 Golden Feathers and talk to the Rito near the entrance of the room where you met Medli. - For sailing, you'll be able to only sail a certain path for the time being until a certain point in the game. But definitely get your sea chart filled since this is your first playthrough! You'll need it! But explore the islands on and off the water as much as you can! - For the Knight's Crest that you found near the boss door, find as much of them as you can. There's a point in the game you'll be able to get a LOT more! But you'll need 10 total! - When you get a chance, go back to Bomb Island (the island above Forest Haven). Sail around the area until you find something floating about near the Platform with pink Bokoblins and cannons. - Lastly, go explore Windfall Island more, but at night! And do so every now and then, it'll help!

This is probably the most tightly tuned Zelda game there is. It actually feels like your an inhabitant of this world and not just some OP dude that's thrown on top of it. All the collectables are great, the exploration is amazing and honestly, it's got the best currency valuation of all the Zelda games, imo. I have to say. If this episode is an indication of how you'll handle exploration for the rest of the game you'll do just fine. It might be worth it considering trying to 100% this game. Or at least get as close as you can get without grinding out treasures. Because exploration is definitely this games biggest strength. Uniquely so up until breath of the wild.

1:00:00 fun fact, if you set sail WEST after this cutscene, you can actually go back to windfall island, and get a few things. that one song in particular is incredibly important to get before you get to the next area as you are locked out of it for a LONG time otherwise if you suddenly decide to do the pictobox stuff later.

It's fun watching you play this :) Also fun fact, if you every do a new game+ with your file for this, every time someone speaks with the weird text Valoo used, you get the translation instead. There's some cool easter eggs in some of it :D

Ah you also played Windwaker! Now you can understand why BOTW and TOTK are so nostalgic! In the Switch Zelda games, we have all the best characters; the Gorons, Zora, Rito and Koroks. And Rito village has the Dragon Roost Island theme. The more Zelda games you play, the more you'll recognize in the newest games.

definitely don't be in too much of a hurry to get where you're going. explore as much as you want. most of the sea is optional and you'll make plenty of fun discoveries if you take time to look around. also don't forget to open your sea charts!

Wind Waker got alot of backlash back in the day for it's artsyle, but i've always loved it. it such a cool style, the only difference is that if you'd play the Gamecube version the cellshading was exectued better? But then again, the HD remaster also looks sooo amazing with the extra lighting effects

From what I could find this is what Valoo said in ancient Hylian, "Oh hero, thank you! Oh hero, use the wind of the Wind God!". Also, Fun fact Valoo is related to a character from OOT but I wont spoil who until you reach the 3rd dungeon.

I’m sure someone has mentioned it but just in case, now that you have beaten Valoo the Swift Sail is now available to you. It is a huge quality of life update that makes sailing the sea easier(you don’t have to change the direction of the wind) and faster. Can’t imagine going back to playing without it. Windfall Island at night in the auction house. Just enter and exit the door until it is the thing up for auction.

Forest Haven is a fun dungeon. Especially when getting the next weapon. And, yes, rupees are everywhere. You're going to need a lot later on. Larry doesn't like it when you try to take things out of order.I can't wait to see you get a bomb bag. You're going to love using the cannon on the boat. The soundtrack for this game is great. I think the music for Tower of the Gods is my favorite. You'll see soon enough, after getting the last pearl.
