Yeah, there IS a bit of "railroading" for the first few islands (which are in straight, orthogonal directions from each other), but after the Forest Haven the map opens up QUITE a lot. (Not 100% yet, but...) Fun facts: - When using the Grappling Hook to get around, it actually wraps realistically around the geometry of whatever you're grappling onto -- i.e. it may wrap around a wide post only once before latching, while wrapping around a narrow post 3 to 4 times before latching. - Wind Waker has a "New Game Plus" mode after beating it. It is no "second quest", but you _should_ give it a try, at least long enough to meet Tetra and the pirates!

Dee, this was another great video!! Here's a few tips and tricks from my past playthroughs: - At the part with throwing Medli for her to get to the entrance of Dragon Roost, you could've changed the wind direction with the Wind's Requiem to make the breeze point to the north! But that's just a small detail, nothing big. - Those birds that sound like sheep are called Helmarocs! If you want, collect 20 Golden Feathers and talk to the Rito near the entrance of the room where you met Medli. - For sailing, you'll be able to only sail a certain path for the time being until a certain point in the game. But definitely get your sea chart filled since this is your first playthrough! You'll need it! But explore the islands on and off the water as much as you can! - For the Knight's Crest that you found near the boss door, find as much of them as you can. There's a point in the game you'll be able to get a LOT more! But you'll need 10 total! - When you get a chance, go back to Bomb Island (the island above Forest Haven). Sail around the area until you find something floating about near the Platform with pink Bokoblins and cannons. - Lastly, go explore Windfall Island more, but at night! And do so every now and then, it'll help!

From what I could find this is what Valoo said in ancient Hylian, "Oh hero, thank you! Oh hero, use the wind of the Wind God!". Also, Fun fact Valoo is related to a character from OOT but I wont spoil who until you reach the 3rd dungeon.

Would translating Hylian be a spoiler? Or is it okay? It’s translated in the Second Quest.
@rafaynoman11802 жыл бұрын
@@calebgoodman2076 I dont think it would be a spoiler unless it's something meant to be kept a secret.

@@calebgoodman2076 The Jabun dialogue is heavy in spoiler. But apart from that most of them are OK.

Something about that grappling hook animation - never quite the same - is so satisfying.

Did you noticed, that the Divine Beast Vah Medoh (BotW) is named by Medli?

You say "yaaaay" exactly like Salvatore (the guy that runs the battleship mini game)

You really need to play this with the Gamepad, it streamlines the whole map/inventory selection so much, you'll wonder how you played the game without it! (but keep it plugged in!)

I’m sure someone has mentioned it but just in case, now that you have beaten Valoo the Swift Sail is now available to you. It is a huge quality of life update that makes sailing the sea easier(you don’t have to change the direction of the wind) and faster. Can’t imagine going back to playing without it. Windfall Island at night in the auction house. Just enter and exit the door until it is the thing up for auction.

This is my favourite Zelda game by far. Even the original version on the GameCube holds up graphically 20 years later it’s a timeless gem

Wind Waker was one of the first games we got for the GameCube, along with Ocarina of Time. I finished WW first, and have played it countless times. It's so much fun to play.

the sound effect from the Warp portal when you beat a boss is the sound effect on the final day of Majora's mask

One cool about this game that BOTW expanded on is taking enemy weapons, I always wished I could of kept the enemy weapons I stolen in this game. Someone should mod Wind waker so weapons can be kept but eventually they break.

Forest Haven is a fun dungeon. Especially when getting the next weapon. And, yes, rupees are everywhere. You're going to need a lot later on. Larry doesn't like it when you try to take things out of order.I can't wait to see you get a bomb bag. You're going to love using the cannon on the boat. The soundtrack for this game is great. I think the music for Tower of the Gods is my favorite. You'll see soon enough, after getting the last pearl.

the first Zelda game where you could take the enemies weapons. which may or may not have inspired Breath of the wild. ^^
