Perfect timing. At one point I was actually considering stuffing 4 SA-15's in the backseat of my Camaro. But, as much as a basshead that I am, that's too much weight for a muscle car. So, I'm going with 1 Zv5 12. I know no one cares, but I don't got any friends so, I had to tell someone. 🤷🏻‍♂️

+Ruben Medina Jr. Man I'm ridin '91 yota truck been thinkin about the f300 4-ch alpine amp running 2.1 setup usin their 4" 2-ways in the stock dash location and bridging ch3&4 for a 10" might upgrade later but want to see how that sounds to start. hopefully similar to my Blue Sky media desk at home clear&balanced. and in a tiny regular cab should be plenty for listening

+Ruben Medina Jr. your English is fine, and yea that was the plan, but it's a dual 4ohm coil sub and need 4ohm with the 2 channels bridged. easiest thing to probably do is get cheap dual 2ohm sub(only runnin 150wRMS anyway)and wire them in series or single coil 4ohm. it's that or use a splitter to the amp(to get identical signal)and run each channel to a coil with less watts then I could use the sub I already have.

+Ruben Medina Jr. 😄 yea not much but in the lil regular cab truck I think it'll sound real good.. the 4" Alpine Type-S are supposed to have decent response but still will probably end up wanting something between them and the sub to fill in the mid-bass. might can do alright with the 10" at the expense of not much real low frequency response. or maybe if I can afford to upgrade eventually I can do a 12" tuned real low in a ported enclosure for sub-30Hz performance + a 6 or 8" woofer in sealed section to have everything covered. if I find some door panels with speakers(dont want to modify my original ones..)could add a 5-1/4 or so in them.

Yo EXO! I have an idea for your next or upcoming video! I'd love to know how much output you lose by having box not properly sealed aka leaks. Ya know? You have all the tools available to make a small closed test box and also the SPL meter to measure all of this. Right now I'm in the situation where I have starting sub and the box is just terrible. I wonder if I really need to change because I lose too much output or just wait on it and buy a proper sub. Because in my case the box will be more expensive than sub alone. I don't really hear any leaking air because I threw this subbox in my frikking closet. I'd love to hear your response man! There is no video that adress that issue on youtube!

Rico K yes low hz aren't super bad rite away but if it's 160db and don't slowly get up to that it will hit real bad my truck is at 149db rite now and I got in clipos truck a few weeks ago he's hitting mod 160s at low 30s and that shit fucked my one ear up but if you gradually work into it it's not a big deal your ears get immune to it but if your a virgin and you get in some crazy shit you'll def be hurting

Stephen Macana i have heard a single sundown 12 on 4000 watts there a nasty sub but i cant justify the money for one so i have been torture testing budget subs that are 100 bucks and under and i now have 4 audio pipe bd2 12s 81 bucks each and have not blown one yet i destroyed 8 different brands before these the worst ones ever were hifonics hifi series ripped wire leads off cones after a week sony explode self explanatory they explode boss audio had a weird clack first use so it got wall socket for lasted less then a second power bass was decent got stollen before i could kill it Jensen ok for half hr at a time they were smelly like hot motors i jst beat a set of audio pipes harder then any other sub not even hot took tripple the rms rating and still sound great jst pulled a 151.2 on dash

I love my Dayton Ultimax 15 and my 2 tens. The only thing I do not like is the box requirements. The 10's need at 1.6 cu ft each, but the 15 is recommended for around 10 cu ft. That being said, I have the 15 in my home theater with only 6 cu ft tuned to 23 hz and it will make a pallet outside my house vibrate. I have the 2 Ultimax 10 under rear seat of a 2011 GMC Sierra and they do quite well tuned to 25 hz.

I have a single JL 13w7 that does just fine for a single sub. It’s a mostly sound quality system anyways but can get pretty damn loud if you want it to. Then I have 2 DC audio LVL4 12’s in my other car in a spl system. Obviously it’s louder and more violent then the JL but doesn’t have the same sound quality although it can sound decent at mid levels. Both my systems do exactly what I want them to do. Only thing I want to do now is add a 4 channel amp to the DC system and a set of components and crossover. Also want to add another DC 2K or just get a 4-5k amp for comps.

@Team Darkside Nice. we built a single 12 center console box for my buds truck but used a split-port design. Port goes from rear of box to front like normal but splits into two ports to exit sides at front. Really impressive output for what it is, I think the split/graduated port is something worth looking further into as it seems to flatten up the tuning point of the box. Box is gruesome looking but it works lol

john kusher for a cheap build you can grab some old school 12 kicker comp cvx's 2 ohm dvc! They would require alot of power to push them to there limit. Remember Im talking about the old ones before kicker sold out and went overseas. Ebay had some. I have one of those kickers in a ported enclosure and two 12 inch pioneers from wall mart in there own sealed enclosure powered by a old scool kicker 1000 class D mono amplifier. For the money I have in my setup its unreal how they sound in my 2000 ford ranger XLT 4X4 SUPERCAB

And I've seen my basshead buddies on Instagram make boxes to fit two 18s in a impala and truck so I'm talking with them for box plans to get my two hdc3 18s in the charger, they are only 1500w -4500 And my hdc4 is 2000-6000w so more power is defiantly needed first haha, love the videos man and keep uploading them maybe one day my charger will be like little blue and keep the beard, hope Frankenstein isn't giving you too much trouble keep the updates coming !
