"That many" garages is a blessing when you have a trade profession and work for yourself! A workshop and tool/supply storage is a need.

That little garage you want to turn into additional living space looks the perfect size for a guest room...

Maybe it’s more than you care to do. But we use fridge door (the translucent strips hanging from the ceiling) to divide clean from dirty sides it really helps keep the dust contained. And it’s easy to pass through with materials

I TRIED helping my ex to clean and organize the garage which was stacked and packed from top to bottom and side to side. Didn’t work as EVERYTHING was needed even if there was five of each item and nothing got thrown away or even donated! Watching this gave me flashbacks and the reason I’m staying single. Forever! I love what y’all did it’s so nice!!! ❤❤

The motivation I needed to clean my garage. It's not that much stuff but it definitely needs a deep cleaning

Looks like so much more room to work in now. I bet it was a nice relief when you were done. Probably wasn't something in the front of your mind all the time, but definitely there taking up space knowing you wanted to clean out and organize the area. Have you shared a video before about the layout of your house? I'm so confused about the multiple garages and them being on different levels, I just can't picture it in my head, and its throwing me off 😂😂
@aspenackley9 ай бұрын
It's definitely an unusual design! We have a home tour from December on our page where we go through and show the layout 🙂

ok, a few tips..those dowels (5:48) go in the drawer with the screws (7:39), because they are connectors like the screws and not the final product. The Kant strip goes with the wood on the shelf as well, and for those pillows on the shelves, buy vacuum bags from which the air is extracted with a vacuum cleaner. they will take up less space and you will save them from dust and stench.

I don’t know what this say about me, but I swear organizing, cleaning, and labeling is my love language. I feel like Tyler and Todd may say the same thing… well at least Todd will lol.

In garage add a vacuum system. It will keep dust down then you just empty the bin. I use wood dust to make wood filler keep in large containers. Rest add to compost bin with leaves and grass cutting.

You two are awesome! Lots of hard work for sure. You should consider including any outtakes of your videos. They would be hilarious😅 😅😂
@cynthiameyer3244 ай бұрын
You should hang a long plastic sheet to help capture the dust from work space migrating over to the storage area, it won't all be avoided just like water dust will go where dust will go, but if you have a hanging plastic divider you can pull down, you may save yourself aggravation on the dust migrating. You both have done such a wonderful job and I'm glad to see you work so well together - at least on camera lol

For now to keep the dust out, maybe use a plastic wrap attached to the walls, floor and ceiling and have a zipper to go in and out..

To help keep the dust down/ make it easy to clean, have you considered just painting the floor? I did this in the basement of my first home and it was so helpful. Great job cleaning & organizing (and purging too😉)

It was very cute when at the beginning of the video… Sabrina insinuated a day or two project…😂 I’ve been organizing my single craft room for a week and yall have wayyyyy more space and stuff… if I had to guess I would say this was at LEAST a three week project. 😂 but wow what a difference
@Tomtax979 ай бұрын
Love watching the organisation. How about a curtain you can pull across to separate the garages whilst Andrews cutting materials, might help keep the dust out of the storage areas? 🤔

QR codes on storage containers seems like such a silly idea to me, it's one of those "make it modern and hi-tech" things that actually just makes things worse. With normal labels, you can just read what's in each container and quickly scan across them all to find what you want, a QR code, you have to use your phone to scan each one and see what's in it, and at that point it's probably faster to just lift each lid and look inside it.

Isn’t there some sort of vacuum system you attach to tools to minimize dust? Idk what it’s called but it’s a vacuum attached to the cutting tools & it automatically suctions the dust away. Paint in garages that aren’t temp controlled can go bad if it’s too hot or too cold. What do you do to keep the paint from getting damaged in the garage?
