For some of your viewers who maybe new to detailing, a helpful tip. When cleaning the tires, did you notice the amount of browning & or dirt coming off tires? If this occurs, you should keep cleaning tires until the soap foam is white. If after the 6 or 7 time of scrubbing, then use a paint thinner to clean tires. Then before applying a tire protectant, use an IPA wipe on tires & wheels. I have noticed on Korea (Asia) car tires, large amounts of browning may occur. Happy Car Cleaning! Thanks Mirandas for your time and effort in making of these videos...

Awesome! We've got a 2019 Explorer that I'm getting ready to wash, clean, and detail inside and out myself today! It hasn't been done in about a year and it's in very desperate need! I have all of the cleaning supplies, and watching this gave me so much motivation to get out there and do it before we go on vacation this weekend! We have 4 Golden Retrievers, so there's going to be A LOT of hair removal involved! Thank goodness ours has leather seats at least, which are SO much easier to clean than cloth upholstery!

Another enjoyable video to watch full of useful information. I’m currently getting similar results between using an APC rinse versus a high ph foam soap. I live by an international airport so some vehicles have more contamination on the roof. Hopefully Hyper Dressing comes back soon as Meguiars keeps selling the rtu version in stores. Make sure to work in a well ventilated area when applying stain protection to fabrics. Thank you for another great video!

C'mon Phil! We both know that if my Dad's old 3.5+ GPM 3000+ psi industrial pressure washer could blast the stickers right off my BMX at 13, then my little Ryobi running around 1000 PSI with a 3.0 orifice nozzle is definitely going to blast that easily dissolvable mud right into the clear coat on my truck. I'm not going to get bogged down with the little details that I've chosen to ignore, like the fact that the mud was more water than dirt when it got on there in the first place! My occasional life experiences with a pressure washer and anecdotes outweighs the thousands of times I've put pressure washer to caked mud! I don't even care that the mud has to flocculate to even get to that consistency, in a way that will mostly keep the heavier stuff towards the bottom. /S On an actual serious note, I was so stoked when you called the TEC582 pineapple juice because that's what I have to call it to get my wife or kid to bring it to me.

Awesome job, Phil! Car looks amazing! Question for you- how do you know when to use an APC with your pre-wash? Could you have used a ph neutral shampoo like Adams shampoo and then do all the same steps? Looking to do my first ever detail on a 2019 Civic that’s never been detailed before and want to make sure I have all the steps down before starting Thanks!
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. Thanks. So basically with any vehicle that we have not detailed in a long time we always do our a PC rent with a higher alkaline APC or shampoo. We usually use super clean diluted 1:4 or Koch Chemie Super foam which is also a high alkaline shampoo. But if it’s a maintenance detail that either is waxed sealed or coated then will use a pH neutral soap to sometimes do a pre-wash. But we always inspect the vehicle first to see if it even needs it, sometimes it just needs a quick pre-rinse and then we film and contact Wash for our maintenance details.

I think i heard that man who work for ONR say when you pressure wash the dirt off ya car, it scratches it
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
I have heard a few guys say that. But it’s not true at all. However driving a vehicle through such heavy mud or dirt in the first place will definitely cause some swirls. Pre rinsing is always a safe and good first step.
@Tundra_Guy Жыл бұрын
Yup, he says it on several of his videos.
@Tundra_Guy Жыл бұрын
@@MirandaDetailing Not sure why you think it's false. Makes sense that high pressure water pointed at dirt particles on dry paint will have some effect of scratching or marring the paint.
@MirandaDetailing Жыл бұрын
@@Tundra_Guy I simply have never experienced it causing any issues ever...That's why I don't believe it. Maybe on a vehicle, that is perfectly polished, and then its gone through mud...and rinsing that mud off could cause some issues...however...at that point, the action of mud slinging on the vehicle from the force of the wheels is itself going to scratch the paint. Not the action of washing it off is entirely to blame. I have seen bumpers and side panels with sand-blasted damage from driving in high dirt and dusty areas constantly. Damage will come from the simple act of driving it down the road in either wet or dry conditions, not from pressure washing it.

Only possible mode where I could see a pressure washer causing scratching, is if it's pushing something harsh across the paint surface. then it's really not the pressure washer, but the material the water is moving. perhaps, don't let a vehicle get THAT dirty? if I had a vehicle I went full mud bogging in, I wouldn't use a pressure washer to clear it anyways; that's a garden hose with a rain nozzle to help soften the caked on crud and let it float or slough off the bulk of the nasty. and if someone is REALLY worried about high(er) pressure water potentially damaging paint, use a lower pressure machine. or don't use one at all.

Why are claying without rinsing after washing? Don't you get extra marring due to the dirt which is suspended in the shampoo? The car is not clean after just washing with the mitt. The dirt is just suspended in the foam and is removed only when you rinse.
@MirandaDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hi. So the pre wash or apc rinse that we did is what removes the majority of grit and particles on the paint. The foaming and contact wash has very minimal if any grit, just a fine film of road grime. So no, no marring or anything like that. The dirt is dirt suspense in the foam. If we just foamer and washed then yeah that could potentially happen.
