@@luckieolp Here's another sad reality of this matter. Hindu faith system has something called Varna (or caste in English) that divides people by profession and social standing at birth. So-called 'highborn' Brahmin at the top, Dalit at the very bottom. Not all, but most Hindus in Pakistan are the poorest Dalit who can't even afford to migrate to India to save themselves. Until a few years ago, hardly anyone spoke-up for these innocents. At least the wider world is now getting aware and raising a voice against this.

Those of us who live in the West have to call and write our elected representatives to demand action against the Government of Pakistan. With external pressure and sanctions/FATF, we can force Pakistani government to mend their evil ways and fix their society.

I live in Sheffield, UK, the City near Rotherham. And this is a problem in Sheffield as well from the same community, in fact it is wherever they have a community base in the UK. But it goes unspoken due to fears of being Racist or attacked. The Police are more concerned with being seen to be politically correct, and so the rights and safety of Women and girls are secondary,.if considered at all. Even a local Sheffield female Muslim councillor of Pakistani heritage has deliberately underplayed what happened in Rotherham, by attempting to skew the statistics to say White men are the problem....and that Rotherham was am attack on their male community, dishonesty at its best, and an utter betrayal of vulnerable girls at worst. We are a majority White country, so yes, white men will appear as the main culprits, but if we look at the % of Pakistani men in the UK compared to their numbers in the R*** gang figures and prosecution they're massively over represented. Thank you for speaking out for those that cannot.

I’m just an American learning so much from these interviews. I had no idea this was happening. I’m very sorry that I did not. One problem is that as I learn more about the injustices that women face under Islam or because of Islam using it as an excuse to harm women for their own selfish reasons…I try to share it and people literally have closed minds to it here in America. Not only do they not want to hear it…so many people I know just say “the world sucks and there is nothing we can do” or even worse “I wish we could just all get along”. No one has outrage. No one cares. At least most people don’t. I tried to share some information I learned on my IG and got hate mail and unfollowed or just crickets. Even friends for years think I’m right wing for sharing how horrible Islam is to women. How can we make people stop living in their bubble? I hear stuff like “protect yourself from too much information” from people who I always thought of as the most feminist of people. They don’t want to hear anything about Islam but they will criticize Christianity or Israel

The human rights issues have always bothered me when we discussed cultural relativism in school. Because the women or other groups who were being oppressed and exploited are not consenting or are actively crying out for help. And as a white liberal I am all about decolonization. And I understand that there is a white savior problem. But the solution still cannot be to ignore these problems. We have to empower the appropriate entities in this situations to do something even if we are not the correct actor ourselves. Also many things get conflated with Islam but are cultural not religious at all. And at least these we should be able to freely discuss and criticize.

There is another foundation working on this same issue; Dharmansh of so why they all not collaborate and take strong initiatives and steps in front of united nations, human rights organizations of the world, governments to pressurize Pakistan for grave violation of human rights and minority rights violations in Pakistan. Also there should be vigils, events and talks on it.

It disgusts me how our regime can sacrifice Palestinian civilians and sacrifice non- Muslims in Pakistan. Picking and choosing who we police has always been political and interest driven, never benevolent or humanitarian. Even in our republic, the powers that be seldom act in the citizens interests, let alone internationally. Just as we need to separate civilians from regimes of power in conflicts, please know that the people [who are aware/informed] are much more sympathetic and motivated to resolve these human rights violations.
