i'm guessing by "16 strikes" you mean the message at the end of the video. that just shows the total strikes the bomb can get before blowing up.
@AnAppleSlice7 ай бұрын
Your description at 1:16:23 of "warning strike" is not correct as there is no such thing, at least, on this bomb. At that timestamp the defuser was tackling the "Double-Oh" module by identifying which buttons cycles through a 9x9 number grid and which one submits the current number (shown on the seven-segment display). *If the defuser presses the submit button, the strike buzzer goes off but does NOT credit a strike as long as the number submitted is not less than 10.* We can see this is the case in the video as the defuser submitted "88" and did not incur a strike. So the buzzer ringing at that point was an intentional mechanic to allow the defuser to identify the submit button, and not exactly a "warning strike" in your context.

What if there were “distraction” modules, which work like needy modules, that do certain things if certain conditions are met when they suddenly turn on. One would be a camera that, once activated, would blind you if you have it in your sight, so turn it around if you hear a single, deep, beeping noise, and you see the camera on the side you’re facing, turn the thing around. Another one would be glue, causing you to have to press buttons multiple times for them to work in a short period of time. Unless, you clog the glue first. Then, a new needy, alarm. You have to constantly check the alarm clock for the matching time every once in a while. When the time matches on the module and the clock, click the button on it. If it goes past or you click it to early, you gain a strike, and it goes slightly later. It will also go later in time when you succeed, but no strike. Then overwatch could have a module. What hero you are, ult charge, abilities available, cooldown time, ammo left, your health, the enemy you’re fighting, and their health. Then you have to input a combo of buttons to kill the enemy. The round then changes, every stat changes, and you have to do this three times total. There.

idea for distraction module: question modules they have a definitive answer but only nerds for particular things could know them the answer is not in the manual, but it can be googled on the internet example: "what side won the chicken vs egg splatfest?" (answer: chicken) the first time it activates ever, it says 30 seconds. if you don't click, you obviously get a strike. if you DO click, it will count how long it took to answer and the question, regardless of right or wrong and count it as correct anyway. if you happened to play that splatfest and answer right (or wrong) in 5 seconds, it will give you ~7 seconds to answer the next question, so make sure you hit it at around 1 second left (maximum time will be 30 seconds), but don't forget about it there are also fake questions that don't have an answer (never the first question ever) where you have to not press anything. if they have fanon answers then you are dead when you press or it can be about a mega-obscure thing. like a question about... whatever obscure thing you can think of or normal quiz questions who won the civil war? (the American colonies) and then there are questions like which one is Japanese? "pitto" or "pittoo" (answer: pitto (Japanese name for Pit). pittoo is dark pit's English localization nickname) (it wont all be video game-related but i play games a lot)

Pretty decent idea. Probably best implimented as negative effects for failing needy modules instead of them giving strikes. That way you're not prepared for which effect you're going to get and have to be more reactive.
