Deku wanted to be a hero because he thought it was fun and he wanted to keep everyone happy and safe. Now that Deku is in all might's shoes, he sees the burden he has to carry and how difficult it's gonna be.

@@desertsandfly2277 I don’t think he wanted to become a hero just because it was fun but I do agree that he wanted to do it because he wanted to keep everyone safe. The thing is that he, unlike others heroes has the burden of the entire world on his shoulders. Most heroes just go to work and return to a big house but Deku has to literally abandon everything he has ever known and everyone he has ever loved. He also has the burden of knowing that if he fails he can’t just pass on the burden to his successor since he’s the last wielder of One for All so it’s all or nothing and no one else has the necessary power and strength to defeat All for One and Shigaraki. But the fact that he has the entire weight of the world on his shoulders might be what solidified him as The World’s Greatest Hero in the future.

What if the 2nd and 3rd were actually revealed to him and what they told him changed what he needed to do Since this got a good amount of attention, let me address something. Don't take this comment seriously, It's a possibility, but highly unlikely. If they're leaving us on a cliffhanger on how their faces look like then I highly doubt they'd introduce them off-panel. This is just a small headcanon that I thought of and I have no actual evidence to back it up. Many comments will end up convincing people that something could actually happen (like the bkkr time travel theory.) The only thing that would support this "theory" would be that since they introduced themselves he would be able to use one of their quirks, and that's how he was able to heal quickly. But obviously, there are many points that could counter that argument, so take it with a grain of salt.

This would probably explain the stain appearance, as stain was in a way, a vigilante, though not for fighting evil during his time, but stain also did mention the hypocrisy of hero work and how he hated the heros because they didn't symbolize true hero's, again, feeding into my idea that in order for deku to get these last quirks he probably also has to shun the hero association and its practices and teachings and find his own way to be a hero instead of being told how to be a hero.

@@koujin4406 well you get the idea but it's a disservice to call it an "emo, sadboi , dont give a shit phase". There are some, but most shounen MC don't even go through that because 1) their series doesn't run for long enough for that to happen or 2) they just go right back to their happy go lucky personality because "well at least..." or "Everything's fine!". I think it's more of a "well shit" phase. Deku just realized that his dream (which was basically his life by the way) of going and graduating in the same school as All Might cannot be achieved. That, and imagine being a 16 year old boy having to leave everything behind so everyone you care about doesn't get brutally murdered. Most characters who go through that are adults who have at least some experience of how insanely harsh life can be. Deku, for the most part, has been living a fairly decent life, where his biggest problems used to be how Bakugo bullied him.

There was a One month time skip. The war was in March and he left in April but From the looks of it he has lost all his muscle mass in his arms, they are the same size as skinny All Might and we know they were bigger before plus their bandaged with what seems special bandages so it’s very possible he can use them for daily use but not to use One for All. Also, the bandages might be a support item he has just to be able to move them.

But instead, he just went off and left UA after leaving the notes for everyone. So it's very likely that he's just on the run right now and trying to avoid villains. I dont know why but I just came up with a crazy theory: Deku is clearly intent on at least trying to save Shigaraki before settling on killing him, at least in the chapter before this one, but I personally see the likelihood of Shiggy being redeemed at less than 20%. However, I don't think Deku, or any hero, will actually committ to killing Shiggy when the time comes (unless he's in the process of threatening other people's lives), so what if Eri rewinds Shigaraki to a kid again before he killed his entire family? Eri rewinded Mirio before and he didn't lose any of his current memories, but what if Eri can eventually select what she rewinds and decides to rewind Shiggy's body and mind, literally making him a kid again and giving him a chance to not turn evil--since he only did so because of really bad parenting and a traumatic experience or two. I think this would give Horikoshi an interesting work around to the "Will Deku kill Shigaraki?" question without having him be redeemed or just put in prison in some unsatisfying way.

The big villain is a parallel to the first chapter when he said the exact same thing in the first chapter and in the story is now exactly 2 years after he met All Might. But instead of saying it with a happy and excited look he says it with tired eyes and a depressed tone. Also I think the chapter says something like “The boy is dead, he’s no more or right now the boy steps into” something like that to symbolize he’s lost that hopeful look in his eyes.

I don’t necessarily think that Class 1A is no longer. Horikoshi spent YEARS writing and developing these characters. And to us, even if Deku left them, I don’t think this is the last we’ve seen of them. What I’m trying to say is, maybe some are going to go after him. I don’t know, is this just my way of trying to avoid Class 1A is no longer Class 1A? Is it my way of not accepting it’s no longer “My hero Acadamia”? But, what I am sure of is, Horikoshi is not going to abandon these character we know and love. They, just like Deku, have all the ability to fight these villains. And let’s be honest, this could be a huge character development for more than just Deku.

I wouldn't be surprised if Eri reversed him to prior to his battle with Shigi, restoring the damage he took. I don't think him just working as a hero on his own is really going to be legal trouble for him, as the whole "hero career" is mostly dead right now, and the cops have better things to do than get killed (Big Trouble in Little China reference FTW). He's probably using the rampaging villains as training, and not really giving himself a break, but he needs to master all of his quirks in order to end AfO once and for all. He's tired, he has 100% taken the burden of stopping the villains onto himself, and he's struggling mentally with it. The final fight, however, I guarantee we're going to see his class, Gentle Criminal, and Stain come to his aide. I think Horikoshi is trying to lead most readers who don't pay attention down the wrong path, and make people think that Deku is going to become #1 on his own, but will give the big reveal that everyone he has helped will be essential in restoring the society they once had.

I thought of something about one for all and why Deku is so limited with it's use. The name of the quirk got me to thinking about the ones that came before him, it hit me. It's not about making one for all his own but sharing his body with the shards of the previous users within one for all. It not about forcing the power but sharing each dream in turn and if both's dreams are compatible the power unlocks (typically in a crisis). Is the manga writer like Tite Kubo? Is each quirk a lens into the user? If it is I think I've got how one for all works for unlocking each power.

Finally, it has been a long time but I'm soo glad that he finally went away from the school. I know it's in the name of the series but it's honestly something that honestly he would eventually need to leave and be a hero by himself.
