Ee I were biting me lip when you were easing those rusty bolts out but you showed patience and it paid off. Shearing them off would be a nightmare. I never tire of watching your videos Del , the care you took even with a humble bracket that nobody would ever see. Its a credit to you. Keep 'em coming owd son.

Hi Bob, Thank you for your kind words mate, when i look at any custom bike, i hardly ever look at the wider bike.. im always there with my head in the details, looking close and brackets and fittings that've been done in a unique and novel way, thats what makes a cool custom bike to me rather then fancy paint and expensive bolt on accessories aye..!±

Another enjoyable video Del. Just FYI, a good penetrant for loosening bolts is lighter fluid. Take care and keep doing what you're doing. I managed engineers for 40 years (I'm nearly 70) and many knew more than I did, but I had two aces up my sleeve, 1. I had experience on my side, 2. I had a knack for explaining things so people could understand. You definitely have #2 locked up! Don't know your experience but you do get results so #1 seems locked up too.

Thank you so much for your kind and generous words sir, Experience maybe, 30 years since i trained on the tools, and been tinkering away ever since.. maybe a lack of money and equipment over the years has lead to a resourceful outlook.. "use what you have" and all that .!lol... but overall a love of sharing when i know with those who appreciate it... knowledge of any level if a great gift to give, even if its just a handy life hack aye.. Another great video, thanks. Just a thought here! I notice that you need to bolt your vice down for each use. May I suggest that you check out “Towsure” and get three “Anti-loose” fasteners as used on trailer tailgates etc. Length of these might be an issue, but you could weld on some extensions, drop them through the fixing holes, through the bench and simply push them into the locked position.

Not sure about getting -45C from a can. I work for an industrial gas company that actually makes cryogenic fluids. It’s very hard to get things that cold. Also, it takes minutes dunked in liquid nitrogen to shrink metal. Might be a good penetrant, but the cold part seems more like a fairy tale to me.

Sorry I can't answer that one buddy, it would take a fair amount of research between the two models to isolate the differences and then deal with it accordingly, you could make matters worse, but generally speaking as a rule, going with an OEM part for that particular model is usually the safest bet.
