I've made this before but I add about 1/3 can of condensed milk in the can. I drizzle it on the top in between the butter pats. It's delicious 😋

When I made dump cake, I used a cheese slicer to make long slices of butter for layering the top. I also used crushed pineapple with the apples to add some acidity. My kids loved it!

I came across your video and went into the kitchen and baked the cinnamon roll apple pie. l used my canned apple filling that I made last year. I added all the extra things also. Caramel is the way to go. This is so good. ❤❤

2/17/23: Looking at your video, I became so inspired that I have to make this tomorrow. I have everything I need in my pantry, except, I only have one can of caramel apple pie filling and one can of peaches in pear juice, can you believe it? So, I'm going to go for the gusto and use both. There are so many variations out there, but, fingers crossed, I hope this combination works. How could it go wrong? It's fruit. I used cinnamon sugar but I assume you can use whichever you like best

I use cinnamon and brown sugar. The brown sugar gives the top a crusty, candied texture.

a tip for you...if you quarter your butter slices, you don't have to use so much and space them out.
