I do this except I leave the onions in the skillet, sprinkle flour and brown it off. I add water and the same seasonings I used in the meatballs, just less of it. Basically I cut a step by making the onion gravy ( no gravy packet) then pour it over the meatballs and bake til cooked all the way through. I like it over rice or wide egg noodles!

Your recipe sounds delicious as well and I'd prefer them with rice rather than mashed potatoes also. Egg noodles sounds delicious as well.

Ms Mae I made your meatballs, onions and gravy for the first time. They turned out delicious. My sides were mashed potatoes, Italian green beans w/hog jawl and a sweet potato pound cake. My husband was grinning from ear to ear. ❤️Thank you
