My grandma could cook anything. She always made the duck but I do remember she used oranges and honey so gonna give this recipe a try for my first duck. Let you know how it goes in a few days. Thank you for the video!

How'd it go? I'm thinking of trying for Xmas...

@ Went great. Entire family loved it. Only problem was one duck was not enough! My second time was three ducks and that ended up being enough for 7 people. So yeah. Great recipe just be warned that somehow one duck seems to have less meat on it than one chicken. Feels like one duck is about half the meat of one chicken.

What type of ducks? Things are so expensive, can you eat a common pond duck? I'm about to catch me a pond duck
@CheffoodiecastАй бұрын
White Pekin. Pls check your local wildlife laws and regulations as regards to catching a pond duck. It may be illegal to do so. Thanks for watching

Ducks (at least for me) can be found at Walmart for like $3 - $4 a pound. I just bought 2 for thanksgiving this week. More than chicken, but less than other meats.

I think you'd be the one roasted if you sourced your dinner from the local park. 😂

Did you say increase to temperature to 200? If so what was it on originally and for how long do you leave it in the oven?
@Cheffoodiecast25 күн бұрын
Cook at 175°C breast side up for 1 hour . Flip duck. Cook for another 1 hour. Increase oven heat to 200°C. Glaze and roast for 10 minutes. READY TO SERVE. ENJOY DELICIOUS HONEY ROAST DUCK!

I literally just let my bird sit in the oven for an hour on 175 Fahrenheit...🤦🏽♂️ The instructions stated C, but i read too fast in excitement 😅 Hopefully this comment will keep someone else from making the same mistake.

Yep. You'd be hard pressed to not find a single feather as they're extremely tough to pluck. They're are almost always pin feathers left over. Have you ever plucked one? Very time consuming and difficult.
