Shoutout to Laios's english VA. Damien Hoss absolutely killed it this episode. With his unhinged belts of joy at dryad fruit, to his scratchy cheer when Marcillie recovers, it's crazy to me how much he just pulls out the perfect voice for him. I've also seen a lot of Japanese viewers say they think Laios sounds more insane in the english dub, which just makes me so happy.

I think my favorite part is actually just the still cut to the Dryad Flowers glaring at Senshi and Chilchuck. It's incredibly simple with no technique to it, but from a narrative point it's an excellent way to jar you out of the humor of Senshi protecting Chilchuck's innocent and get you ready for the incoming fight scene. Very important, especially since it allowed the entire fight metronomes between silly comedy bits and creepy action.

Can someone explain me some of the character design. Like don’t marcilles, falin, and Rins(the girl from kabru party) kind of match shape wise. Am I just not seeing things or is it enough for eyes and nose to look different. I’ve read the manga and I really like the series and I get the whole character design thing for the most part and was just wondering if anyone else thought that these 3 characters looked kind of same

If you look, Rin has a longer thinner face and sharper features, with her curtain-like silky hair framing her face fairly symmetrically. Falin by contrast has a more rounded face, almost as if she hasn't quite lost her baby-fat just yet, and her hair is much fluffier by comparison. Marcelle has longer ears of course, but Round cheeks like Falin, but sharp chin like Rin, and her eyes are generally rounded and open. (Her hair changes continually through each chapter so her face framing also changes)
