Hello guys, really enjoyed your day at the beach. Maybe the Caribbean beaches may be warmer but you sure don’t have to get up at dawn to reserve a chair with your towel. You can stroll a NS beach and be totally alone.. The fishing boat tour was really great. Your Nova Scotia roots really show thru your amazing attitude. True Nova Scotians understand you roll with the weather and make your day the best because like the weather, life changes and you change with it for the best life. Wonderful day on our East Coast!

Nova Scotia is the best! 🥰 Let me rectify that - having traveled through most Canadian provinces, I found myself falling in love with each and every one of them, including Ontario, which I had considered the under gifted one for quite a while (“Ontario, yours to discover” = so true!); then, the Saskatchewan prairies, what a surprise😍! I like the reproduction Eames moulded chairs in your digs.
To each their own but did you not notice that beach didn't have any waves! It's a harbour beach and good for a harbour beach but on the 10 scale a harbour beach maxes out at 2, I would give that beach a 2. You have to go to an ocean beach to get waves. The waves are small on the North Humberland Straight but they have much warmer water. Port Hood Beach is my favourite on that side of the province. Lawrencetown Beach has the best ocean swimming and biggest waves--I've been turned upside down in their waves often. But unfortunately the amount people with boogie boards and people trying to learn to surf at Lawrencetown often crowds out the swimmers and make it dangerous. The experienced surfers head to the point and are awesome to watch and are not near the swimmers. But one of you two has to be brave and actually go in the water! You are missing out. I guarantee you will acclimate to it within 15 seconds and it will feel amazing and refreshing. Pick a day when the water temps is at least 16C and don't hesitate, dive under the water immediately. Just do it :)
@DelightfulTravellers3 жыл бұрын
For us that's the appeal.. no waves. It's like a lagoon and when the sun is out in full it looks like the Caribbean. Don't get me wrong waves can be fun but if you want to relax we prefer a beach like this 😀 - Trevor
