I was in Peru last week for vacation and I flew into/through Lima several times and always noticed all the old and run down planes sitting on the side of the side of the taxiway. Some looked to be in working order yet they were always in the same place each time I flew through. Peru is a great country, hope you had a nice time there.

Great video! I just flew Delta One between Amsterdam and Detroit and I think its worth noting that the A18 and A60 Delta One lounges at Detroit both give great ramp and runway views. Overall it was a great experience, with a great seat on the A350, and really good catering, and in fact I watched your International Delta One video where you flew the SAME route and sat in the exact SAME seat I sat in.

Pro tip, if flying Delta, AVOID the 767-300 and stick to the 400 like the one featured here in this video (or another plane). The 767-3 has old IFE, we recently flew Delta One from MSP to HNL and several of the IFE units did not work. The seats are uncomfortable and very tight. You might have to break up the trip to get a far better A321 Neo or 737-900 but avoid the 767-3 until Delta refurbishes or retires them. Thanks Jeb for all of your great work!

I flew this route wayyy back in 2019, when I was in 9th grade! Me and my family went down to South America and Antarctica for a month and a half, although we flew in and out at night, in comfort plus, although I think that made the experience a little better; both flights, we skirted thunderstorms that mixed lightning flashes with the moonlight and it was a beautiful way to start and end the trip. Looks like Lima's airport is just the same as I remember!

I was on this exact airplane back when they used it as a domestic Delta One flight during the Pandemic. I flew it from San Diego to ATL last year at around this time on the new Delta One and it was pretty decent, but the footwell was narrow and I didn't sleep since it was a red eye flight and I'm 6 foot 4. It was an honor to fly the Breast Cancer Awareness livery given losing my mom to Breast Cancer.

@@jarenanthony3709 same. Although I liked seeing several times a day, every day, Delta widebodies at San Diego since we don't really get too many widebodies especially since the pandemic. But now things are returning to "normal" and we're back to seeing a daily BA A350 and a tri weekly Lufthansa A350 as well as a daily Japan Airlines 787 for international traffic and the daily Hawaiian A330 for domestic traffic that was stopped during the Pandemic. LIM is one of the few airports where I have been stranded. I was flying from LA to Buenos Aires on LAN (now LATAM) via Lima and Santiago. We were supposed to stop in Lima and continue with the same plane, but there was some mechanical issue (it was a 787 just after they were introduced; you may remember they had some teething issues) and I ended up spending the following day there, and slept the night on the airport benches. And then I missed my connection from Santiago to Buenos Aires and had to spend another night sleeping on Santiago's benches. I got a voucher from LAN though.

Some of the other Delta special liveries: The Habitat for Humanity livery-which is kind of similar to the BCRF jet, but is blue. There's the Delta Airlines employee thank you jet, an A321 with the words "THANK YOU" on the side, and inside the letters, are the names of the employees of Delta Airlines. That was timed to happen when the profit sharing in 2020 was announced. There is also the SkyTeam livery as well. Wonder if you'd ever do a video about the Delta Heritage Flight Museum in Atlanta..

I will fly a wide body any day of the week and twice on sundays. I flew a lot before my back surgeries and it was always a narrow body coast to coast in the US. Here are some fun facts: in the days of the quad jets, the flew from JFK-ORD just as Great from JFK-LAX. The types to choose from was limited. The 767 was designed to replace the DC-8/B707. That was case for the first few yrs. Then the airlines saw that they could fly the 767 on more point to point int cont flights and use the 757 and the 737 3-500 coast to coast. Then they looked at Iceland air that used the 757 inter cont, and they all jumped on board. Take SAS and FI. SK flew the 76 CPH-NRT 198 pax and a crew of 16 and two nights in TYO. SAS CFO said they never made money on that route with the 76. I wonder why… FI flew the 75 179 pax and a crew of 8! Now the 75 is on the way to ROS/VCV for scrapping because it has been replaced by the Max with only 15 fewer seats and 6 crew inc pilots! And they only use What, half the fuel? You do the math… My father worked for BU. When they got the 767-200 for IT flights they had a one class Y242 a 2-3-2 lay out. BY from the UK had a Y 274 a 2-4-2 lay out! BU sold there 767 after two yrs. Why? The price of US $ had gone from 4,70 NOK in 1980 to 10,00 NOK in 1985. Also Boeing was to make the 734, and 735. I think the 767 is one of the most sexy aircraft ever! Well, know you know. Today both BU and BY are history. Sad, sad, sad.

Jeb, as a long time subscriber and loyal fan, I feel that your favoritism for Delta came through in this review. 5 stars for the food? You must be joking. It was mediocre at best and certainly was not up to international business class standards of major carriers. Never fear, I will give you a pass as you are a true Delta fan and it's understandable that you wouldn't be too critical of them. 🤣. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding weekend.

I didn't really see the favoritism on DL about the food in this case. It's a as good or not better on any carrier between the US and South America. Where the bias did perhaps show was on the brushing over the inferior for a recent international upgrade of the seat hardware. They are indeed very narrow with all that wasted space for the table and those things were already looking beat up. These DL One seats are made of cheap materials and show their age fast. Also keep in mind, many of his videos are paid for by the carrier (ie recent video about UA Denver hub). Sam Chui of the US.
