The case foam cutouts on the Panthera and the SKOUT EPOCH is amazing. The rolling lockable rifle cases from Harbor Freight and Academy are very nice and gave pre cut foam to customize to your rifle scope and ammo and LDC

Right now my issue is with the 30 cal barrel .I use slugs not pellets and using the slugs in it is not good because the slow twist rate on the barrel . With this type of twist on the barrel at a 100 meters is like shooting a shot gun at the target . Now the 25 cal barrel is awesome when it comes to shooting both slugs and pellets the barrel has the right amount of twist to put the slug or pellet down range with precision accuracy and I do mean accuracy . And Yes I do love my 25 cal and I do hope that Daystate will put a faster twist rate on the 30 cal too.
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
hey, i been using the fx 30 cal slugs and they seem good to ok depending on how accurate you want to be. I would not say it is dead accurate but accurate enough to hunt at 100 yards and better than what I can do with my 30 call pellets because of wind. Wish I could help out more but again it not super accurate for groups but enough to take out rabbits, squirrels when needed.

I have a .25 and shoot slugs, 75 m .5 groups.
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
My .177 shoots slugs fairly accurate. The 30 can shoot hybrid slugs fairly accurate as well. So it depends but to me it is not a power house to push heavy slugs... YMMV ? Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
@richardwhiteside7929 Жыл бұрын
@@ShootingTargets727 1st. Do find the slugs that are heavier in the calibre give you better groups? 2nd I have found the slugs that are wider are more stable and give a better grouping? (example .25 - 33.49 GR - JSB Match KnockOut - 6.37mm v Mk II - 6.35)
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
@@richardwhiteside7929 It just depends. I tried many types and depends on rifling, twist, length weight many things go into accuracy and how the rifle likes the slug. There are stability factors and ratings that go into how well the slug will perform down range. It depends on the length, width, barrel twist, speed many factors cant really give a broad overview on what works best outside of trying it in a rifle. We have not even got into barrel harmonics and other items very very tough subject with so many variables. WIsh I could be more help.

Very, very good points especially solar charging methods and the gun cases (I have also wondered why the airgun stores who provide cases make them so small). Since all facets of our society are evolving it would be creative on the part of the airgun industry to demonstrate leadership and think beyond the actual gun itself. This, undoubtedly, would make the consumer think more highly of the manufacturers and the prices they are charging.

Nice video!, i hoop that Daystate is taking notes. Question: Which adjusting could you recommend to use on my .30 cal? I used most of the times with pellets (JSB 50 grains) and would like get them to a speed about 915 ft/sec. Thanks for your videos! Kind regards from Holland, J.C.
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
So, a few things. Please check out my tuning video for this rifle. It kind of breaks down differences. My setting will be different from yours even thou they are suppose to be the same. So, I suggest shooting in automatic mode and finding the most accurate pellet speed. You mentioned 915 fps. Once you are happy with the most accurate speed in Automatic mode go to manual mode and step up the the regulator, voltage and dwel time last. Again hopefully the tune video I put out helps. Thanks again for watching and subscribing.

You make some great points, and Daystate seems particularly stingy with their information. This is where FX (love or hate them) shines, their customer service has been awesome, and you can speak to an experienced tech, when needed. I was recently gifted a Skout Epoch, and there is almost nothing, information wise, to be found, so I’m flying blind with that one…
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
Dam. yea that is really FX shining start... Lots of information about the rifles and people are around to bounce ideas off of. Yea, I contacted Skout and got a PDF manual that was 1 to 2 page of information. hmmm....... You can always put out a video about the skout not much really out there on honest reviews.

Id like to see bluetooth connectivity. Have the touch screen but also be able to make all the adjustments right on your phone with an app. Watching these videos where you have to open the bolt, hold the trigger scroll through settings, click up or down . Create files or go through existing files seems like a pain in the ass. Having connectivity with phone and simply adjusting power, dwell etc right there seems like a no brainer at this point. Watching videos on skout , the voice command would be so annoying, I know you’re able to shut it off but their menu doesn’t seem any easier.

So you are seriously suggesting daystate put solar panels stock in their gun case? I think they should throw some of whatever you are on in there too. 😂😂😂😂. Sorry but checked out right there.
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
No problem, it is open for debate. Hey they need to power these rifles some way. The biggest negative is that they seem to really drain on the battery. They need a way to always be available with power. Solar panels or not its a hurdle that traditional rifles do not have.

Someone, I won't name it, is trying to get Daystate to sell the Delta Wolf for $5,000 or more. Please don't give away ideas because they already charge both kidneys for Delta alone and still ask 1 thousand $ for one barrel of another caliber.🤦♂🤦♂
@ShootingTargets727 Жыл бұрын
Yea, well I am not sure how many of these they actually sell. It gets to a certain point where people will not purchase the rifle no matter what you have on it since it is just so high priced. I was thinking that if they could get more main stream the price would come down as they are producing more of them. hmmm 5K for a rifle is insane. Thanks for watching and the sub..

@@ShootingTargets727 A few years ago, I said that a pcp would cost 3.5K$ and a barrel for it would cost almost 1,000$, they wouldn't believe it either. @@starlightHT I totally get you... Yea I mean I have a ton of money in my rifles. I need to downsize because it is just too much. I will have to figure out what I want to keep and let go.
