Where’s a framing instructional video for this?? The instructions aren’t super clear. What are the 2x6’s for?

Just purchased the EverEdge last night. Anything different for installing on a cement sub-floor? Cutting drain hole excepted. Thanks!!!

We are seeing others recommending a mortar bed. Any reason not to?

Is there a specific sealant you recomment?

Is the adhesive on the subfloor absolutely necessary? If so, can you please explain the reasoning, since the tub is also attached to the studs? Also, I'm not clear on whether the tub drain should be placed in the tub before or after adhering the tub to the subfloor and studs. The written instructions also leave this information out.

Hello Valued Customer, Thanks for contacting us! Adhesive on the floor connection will prevent water from getting under the tub. The drain needs to be installed before installing the tub and then the floor needs to be checked to be sure it is square and level. -Kelley

I guess I was not clear in my question. The instructions call for adhesive to be spread in a large rectangle onto the subfloor before installing the tub. My old tub that I removed so I can install the EverEdge was not glued to the floor -it was only attached to the wall studs. What is the reasoning for the large rectangle of adhesive that is to be spread by a notched trowel? Thank you!

Hopefully you're done with this project by now, but the adhesive on the subfloor removes any potential bounce in the tub bottom. It also prevents tiny horizontal shifts, which could put unnecessary strain on the flange where it's screwed in, and eventually causing cracks that water could escape through.

How do you use this tub with a tile wall? The "everedge" bump out on the edge seems to prohibit placing cement board and tile along it.

Hello Kelsi, The EverEdge Tub 60x32 will need to be paired with the EverEdge Bathtub Wall 60"X32" MODEL#: B23207-6032-WH. Products can be purchased online or locally. Please see our Where to Buy page for help finding dealers in your area or online. www.deltafaucet.com/where-to-buy -Kelley

@@deltafaucet It states in the instructions that it can be installed without the walls AKA tile.

Did you ever get an answer here? Same problem

I think you would tile down to the bump out and caulk between it and the tile using a non silicon caulk

Install cement board down to the flange, then hang the tiles over the flange and down to the tub deck. There's an illustration on page 9 of the instructions.
