@@damonlassiter3756 No, they are just physically capable with an affinity for close-contact violence. But trained fighters have a massive advantage. I have been boxing for 55 years. I have sparred with world champion boxers. Properly trained the boxer will have the following advantages over an untrained person. 1. Part of the training is to hit a heavy bag and move it. To do this you need to coordinate the whole weight of your body and transfer through a straight wrist and hand so the power hits the bag. I was recently working on a heavy bag next to two young men. I was hitting the bag for three minutes then sitting down the two young men were taking turns it suddenly dawned on them my bag was still moving more than theirs and I had been sitting for three minutes. If you can hit properly with power it only takes two or three punches and the fight is over. 2. If you regularly box you know how fast you are. In these contests watch the boxer he takes a few hits he has his guard up he is judging his opponents speed and power. A non boxers punch will not have power when he is wearing 16 ounce training gloves. Once he has judged his speed the boxer will start counter punching. He will watch then non boxer open his guard to lunge then hit him first. The non boxer begins to realise every time he try’s to punch he will get a powerful counterpunch and so he slows down. 3. The boxer is trained to fight 3 minute rounds. Most people cannot fight that long they are quickly exhausted again the boxer will delay take a few punches on his guard. Finally the non boxer tires his guard drops he then starts to get proper punches and the lizard brain inside his brain tells him he is in serious danger of death and to get out of there

The best ever example of this is Bobbo Sappo vs Minotauro Nogueira. Sapp was a mountain of a man, played in the NFL. Nogueira was the consensus number 1 MMA heavy weight in the world at the time. This happened before Sapp realized he wasn't good at fighting and didn't like it, this was back when he was in the "I'm huge, I might not know how to fight, but we've got about 2 minutes where you're gonna find out" phase of his career.

I have a black belt in kenpo and spent around 6 years training in various martial arts disciplines during... most people don't even know how to strike, much less fight. That said if an opponent doesn't know how to take a hit an untrained individual can get a lucky shot off. I've sparred good martial artists a lot, and been in a few scuffles with randos... It's a COMPLETELY different thing, and fighting a good fighter is a back and forth that can go either way. In the scuffles, I've "won" just as many confrontations by shrugging off a punch as I have talking the other guy down. This said, "Tough guys" get real soft when you knock the wind out of them in an instant, or just bruise their arm blocking their haphazard swing. This said I never went looking for fights, but I don't back down either. Also, I've never encountered a hot head that knows what they're doing.

The first boxer is Ernesto Bergamasco he died this year 2024 and was 74. So he is not 86 and porbably was even younger than 74 in this fight.
