Just another reason why this Kurz may be the most amazing synth they've produced to me if u paired it with an original K2k(the grandaddy) u'd have the ultimate best of both worlds, what more would you need in ur setup kids. Get this machine if u can swing it & hold on to the ole K2k folks.

Question from a newbie for all of you: If I noodle with a pre-programmed backing track and I change key, or if I decide to strike any off-key notes, does the backing change key to stay in harmony with me, or does it stick to it's pre-programmed key?

Sounds amazing! If relocating the pitch/mod wheels helps break into the mass market, I guess I can get behind that ... would like to hear how the live performers that have supported the Kurz brand all these years feel about that.

Huh?! How else are u gonna title +xt each track dude.

@@angelog.spicolaiii8021 There are unwritten rules for submitting information. In this case, we have the main content - sound. Text content comes as an accompaniment. This means that it should not distract unnecessary attention from the main content with unnecessary video effects. You can also insert unobtrusive effects, well, if you want it so badly, and it will be much more beautiful and cooler than this rotating text, which cannot be read immediately, and you have to distract yourself from listening to the main topic. It's 2021 now, and using effects just for the sake of effects to show that "look, I can do that" is bad manners.

Agree ,the Kurzweil:s since K2000 has had a much higher potential than shown in their factory programs.Feels like they have left that part to the users, and feels like that has struck back in that regard that they should have tons of these beasts. But ended up in the general opinion "it is yet another rompler" which it is not!It is a killer synthengine (VAST) with samples in it.Got a 2500XS and a K2000 and thinking about yet a another.....PC3K8 as they come pretty cheap on the second hand market

@Peter Brinkmann When you're sitting at a proper keyboard height and posture while playing or programming the K2700, the color fades dramatically, and actually helps the player/programmer a great deal to "find" each of the controls that they "need to find fast while concentrating on playing/programming", (controls, meaning, faders, rotary knobs, selector buttons, the display screen, toggle buttons, drum pads, the 1, 2, or 3 zones on the long ribbon controller, etc.). Also, the K2700 comes with PC or Mac software to perform "most" programming tasks using your DAW or a separate PC/Mac, which is *very nice*, (the software is entirely new, however the Kurzweil Development Team put a lot of work into the first released PC/Mac software version, and is putting out new versions with PC/Mac software fixes and new features at an impressively rapid pace). I received my preorder K2700 approximately six weeks ago, and "there is no end in sight to the exploration and experimentation of this beast". Back in the mid 1990's I had a K2500XS, and preordered a K2600XS in 1999 and a K2600RS in 2001, so I've been playing and programming my Kurzweil synths/samplers for many years. The K2700 is a *huge leap* beyond the K2600XS, (although I do wish the K2700 had a sampling module/option like the K2600XS/RS's and K2500XS's, for which I would have gladly paid the appropriate additional price). However, even without a sampling module/option, the K2700 is, in two words, *beyond awesome*. I still have my fully functioning K2600XS and K2600RS, so you might appropriately say that "I'm buried in Kurzweil K2x00's", and I could not be more happy about that! :-)
