Alongside that, Twisted Throttle should sell a horn modulator that allows the rider to tap for access to the regular horn when appropriate but when held for 0.5 seconds, brings on THE LOUD and flashes the high beams to shock that texting knucklehead who's about to turn in front of you, back to reality. Two years ago I installed the Screaming Banshee modulator (in combo with Aerostich-sourced horn) that works as advertised.

What bracket was used to install this? I have a 2010 Street Triple and this horn looks good, even out in plain sight. This bracket looks to be similar to the Denali L-bracket, but bent another 90 degrees. Or was this a custom job?
@twistedthrottle8 жыл бұрын
+mdbbox It is a custom mount. We took out existing 3" mount (part# TWT-00-013-003) and bent it twice at 90 degrees. If you're handy or aspire to be handy this is an easy project to make. Here is a CAD drawing of the custom bracket. d12f57gc05gedw.cloudfront.net/Denali/2011%20Triumph%20Speed%203%20horn%20mount.pdf
@mdbbox98838 жыл бұрын
Ah, I was afraid it might be custom. Looks like the bending does a number on the existing finish as well, requiring it to be re-powder coated. Was this just done in a vise with a hammer? I have plenty of hand tools, but no fabrication tools. You should make and sell these. :)

@Leander3117 жыл бұрын
That was with the horn more or less pointing directly at the mic... At those somewhat-directional frequencies, it will be I'd guess 115-120dB at the rider's ears. Also, given OSHA noise exposure limits start at 8hrs for 85dBA, with allowable (sans-protection) daily exposure halved for every 5dBA increase, that's comes to an exposure limit of 3.75 minutes for 125dBA SPL. TLDR - If you're honking longer than 3 minutes, you've got 99 problems, and traffic ain't one. Hearing ain't, either.

Why? Are you trying to wake the dead?? You could install two, but they'll each need their own wiring harness and relay. And beware that you're pulling almost 40 amps continuous with the horns active. That's not as much as the bike's starter but it's a lot.
