I agree!...... when he was with Mayte he even mentioned to Mayte that she (Vanity) was the only one that broke his heart! Vanity was too strong minded (per prince) . In which is why she had the magic because he could not control her. She sure did have an affect on him without having to be with him for many years or putting a ring on it. Thats the beauty that they share ! You can see it in their eyes they really were a reflection of each other (at that time) in certain aspects

Poor thing. Such a beautiful woman……and she knew it too! There were a lot of influences going on with her at that time. Having a painful falling out with Prince, her one true love. Having rocky relationships with other celebrities of that day, a powerful drug addiction and not to mention her dabbling in black magic/ouija boards and even getting arrested for trespassing properties that were rumored to be haunted. She later admitted that a housekeeper walked in and saw Vanity levitating above her bed! So who knows how much of that madness played into the performance this night? Praise God Denise Matthews found Jesus Christ and denounced all that had to do with Vanity and any of its moneys. Rest In Peace Denise Matthews🙏🏻. Praise God, Jesus Christ , the Lord Almighty🙏🏻 . Lots of entertainers, who had weak vocals, let the background singers do all the work. It was normal back then. Many vocalists, with zero stage presence or weren't that attractive, got discovered by doing background vocals. One hand washed the other. Mariah to Brenda Starr. Kelly Price sang background for Mariah. Luther Vandross sang background for everybody, lol... Also, most lip sync'd on television and it was normal back then. 😂🤣😂 If you don't see a live band on stage they were lip syncing. H3ll even if you saw a band they might still fake it.
