This is only a suggestion, and I don't think ANYONE could replicate the abfab voice of Judith and The Seekers,; but do you think Susan Boyle would do a favourable rendition of The Carnival Is Over? I really would love to see and hear Susan sing this thought-provoking song; wouldn't you? They both - Judith and Susan - have the 'same sort of singing voice'; don't they? If you, or anyone has any idea how to make this happen, please let me know.

We both wanted the world to stop revolving but that was sheer fantasy and wishful thinking. We were blessed with four more months together and I cannot say how often we played this song. Of course, I still miss my husband more than words can express, however, I have my memories and this beautiful song. Ended up myself crying as I hear the lyrics of this song now that Madam's Judith is no longer with us. I'm a 31-year old lad from the Philippines who supposed to be a fan of modern-day songs; but this group (The Seekers) indeed caught my heart after I have listened to their greatest hits "Georgy Girl", "I'll never find another you" and "The Carnival is over". Hate to hear the lyrics sang by Madam Judith. She had lived an awesome and amazing life, a very distinct voice that is uniquely hers; a very vibrant and joyous melody. My favorite Australian quartet will never be complete without her. Such respect and she''ll be badly, definitely and greatly missed. Rest in power from Manila!

No other sound can transport me back into the 1960s as do the Seekers. Judith Durham with her incredible voice together with great backing play and rhythm. Life seemed simpler then, and days full of happiness.

I first heard this song when I was 5 years old in 1965 in Malaysia. At that time, I never knew who the singers were. Today I heard it again when I am 59 years old. I was moved to tears. But I did not want to keep this beautiful memory to myself, so I invited my daughter Ruth (18 years) to listen to this song. I told her my childhood story, growing up and listening to this song. When she heard it, she started to cry as well. And we both hugged each other and cried. We were amazed at Judith's voice, the male accompaniments and the unforgettable lyrics. So touching.
