On the record, they never asked for exclusivity from the beginning. I’m not sure taking one athletes misinterpretation (victor, a rookie ) as a generalized catch all statement is the best way to report news. Still love most of these updates

Tyler mentioned on the BBS that WFP did originally bring up exclusivity to athletes and the athletes pushed back. He didn’t specify which athletes were asked of that. Victor could have confused it with his agent so that’s fair. Will did reach out to Spin and on that show they discussed that Will acknowledged it is a possibility but then Will said it wasn’t talked about, but it was talked about. So a lot of Will saying different things causing confusion. 🤯

The athletes are being compensated by the WFP. The ball is not in their court to grow the fanbase - that's the WFP's responsibility. Asking the athletes to weigh in on how the WFP is going to generate fans is silly. That's not their wheelhouse, dude. No one asks Patrick Mahomes to care about (or comment on) how the NFL is generating ticket revenue.
