I have upgraded my glue guns to butane powered ones. I fill them up from a pressurised container and they last 3 hours continuous on a fill. Very convenient tool and used with my cordless guns. Great thing about having my own mill and lathe is the amount of custom tools that can be made! I have made up so many custom glue mushrooms to suit individual specific jobs. Love your web site,always learning something new.

So it's really not for beginners but I was taught by an old-schooler how to use a wool pad for the first cut especially when doing wet sand buffing, it's a pain to use because it's not easy like the foam pads but I bet it cuts two times as fast for a first pass. Just something to think about trying if you haven't tried it yet. I know a lot of us younger guys have never used anything but the foam

Have you one many dents on aircraft? Been an exciting and very busy time doing dents on them after putting some cards and flyers out at a local get together for owners and pilots. They pick up lots of dents and dings on the wings ,empennage and fuselage in the hangar and in flight. Great to fix and interesting. Got a couple of helicopters lined up for work too! Might make good video for you to work on one?

Andrew Wilson yes once in awhile. We have worked on a chp helicopter but was allowed to film.

Would you say pdr has taken a toll on your eyesight? Im a young pdr tech for 4 years already and thats something that worries me straining my eyes and staring at my led light all day..
@AlexS-wl3nc6 жыл бұрын
Diego Olalde do you recommend getting into the pdr industry? Im halfway through a collision tech degree. I worked in a body shop as a tech for about a month. But i have asthma and all the dust and fumes from people priming in the shop has been irritating my lungs. So i moved over to estimating. Is it easy to find work? And do you get compensated well?
