Denver Broncos Make a Sneaky Smart Signing

As Warren Buffet says, "You never go broke making a profit," and the Denver Broncos continue to make brilliant moves this offseason. Although none of these moves are the splashy signings we might have hoped for, the squad continues to make incremental improvements at key positions. It's hard not to be excited about the most recent signing of Sam Mustipher, who has 42 starts under his belt. We witnessed the incredible growth of Lloyd Cushenberry when he played between two dynamic guards, and I believe the same will be true for Mustipher, Alex Forsyth, or whoever else the Denver Broncos decide to position at center next year. Another subtle advantage we have is that the Sean Payton system is being taught to these offensive linemen by Zac Strief, who played on the offensive line for Payton. Learning from someone who has succeeded in this very system is immensely beneficial. We conclude the show by discussing how much better Broncos fans are compared to those of the Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, or San Diego Chargers-and it's not even close.

I don’t get the Sean Payton hate. The broncos have sucked for almost a decade and he’s the first legit coach the broncos have had since kubiak. He took a 5-12 roster and got them to 8-9. Give him a chance with his own qb and if they suck, then shit on him all you want.

At this point I don't even think it's coloradans that are making the big fuzz. I think cuz all the people out of state it's like they made a big deal when in and out first showed up to Colorado. Now I feel all the Texans are making a big deal. That's not the entire story on the chiefs stadium from speaking to my mom back home in KC. Btw, I was born in Denver and that's where my heart stays...at least during football season...and most of the time. The vote was turned down because part of the decision was based on moving the stadium over to the Kansas side of Kansas city.

Nix is much better than a 2nd rounder. Chris Simms has one of the best if not the best record on his qb rates. He has Nix as his 3rd best qb, followed by Penix, McCarthy and then Maye.

The QB run will push a generational TE to us at 12. Take the TE, trade backup into the second and take Bo nix. Or if the TE gets drafted, trade back

I am a broncos fan through and through and im not one of those dudes who thinks every move is garbage but stop dri king the koolaid bro. This isnt sneaky good. This is below average. Every broncos content page does this same thing, hype up the free agency signings, talk about how each draft pick is a future HOF and then rinse and repeat tue next year when Riley Moss doesnt lead the league in INTs and we miss the playoffs. Be real and call it what it is.

Just curious how you use the term "Amazing" to in any way describe this off season of picking up players with very little talent. Not one acquisition this offseason has bettered a position on this team from last year...not one. This team is going to win less than 6 games this upcoming season and the majority of the reason is because of the horrendous FA group we've acquired. Now, I totally understand the several reasons we're making such meh pick ups, but at least be honest about it. It's frustrating to hear the level of positivity you're bringing to this when the only decent FA we've picked up was to replace Justin Simmons, who is still better than what we acquired.

Malcom Roach is a huge improvement- Josh Reynolds is a big improvement to Jeudy. We replaced Simmons, Jewel, and Cushenberry with similar talent for a fraction of the cost. We’ll have the most cap space in the nfl next offseason and we didn’t take a massive step back. That’s “amazing” to me. It’s been a rebuild without demolishing the building in my opinion. I’d be very disappointed if we won less than 6 games!

You'd rather hear constant negativity from Broncos fans everywhere all the time? That's fun for you? Does that not get miserable? Taking the time and having the patience to go for younger, lesser known, less-appreciated, cheaper talents and going 110% in on a rebuild to help us long-term is exactly what we've needed since Manning's retirement. It's absolutely been an amazing offseason solely due to having a HC that actually cares enough to know what we need and go about it in the smartest way possible. Y'all don't appreciate it now- you might not even appreciate it in the next season- but a rebuild takes time to pay off. And I guarantee people like you are gonna be singing Sean Payton's praises when it does.
