Derek Fowlds Revisited: Celebrating Derek's Life and Work - DOCUMENTARY

We look back at some of the interviews that we recorded with Derek over the years and celebrate his life and work. A talented actor and a good friend, Derek passed away in January 2020 and is still greatly missed.
Clips include Derek chatting with novelist Michael Sellers who helped him write his autobiography, as well as Derek reflecting on some of his best known theatre, film and TV performances including working with Alistair Sim and Robert Morley, and appearing in The Basil Brush Show, Yes Minister, Heartbeat.

I think it would be fair to also say of Derek "a gentleman" for he is the very meaning of that word. The six weeks he spent working with that other gentleman, Peter Cushing, clearly had a profound affect on him in the best way possible. And to get a "fan letter" from the great man himself. Extraordinary. "Frankenstein Created Woman" is one of my favourites from Hammer, due in no small part to these two great actors.

Such a wonderful actor and total gentleman. Just the other day I watched We joined the navy and was amazed how young he was in it. Then saw this video come up in my feed. Just had to watch it he will be very much missed.
