Ok I just hate how The Queen of Hearts was taking out all of her anger on Cinderella when it was the other sea witch girl who played the prank on her! We never got to see the moment she became a villain or the school dance because they rushed through it and gave us a happy ending that made zero sense. This had to be one of the worst endings to a DCOM

Finally, someone agrees this film is shit. I'm planning on dodging this one. The ONLY way this can be fixed is that they didn't time-hopped but multiverse-hopped. If they can do that with Marvel, I wouldn't put past them that Descendants would do the same. Especially since the past movies, books, TV series, and more made it PLAINLY OBVIOUS that Descendants was based on the films, sequels or no sequels.

I think in the original timeline, Ella got grounded because of BRIDGET breaking the vase instead of Chloe, so Ella is mad at BRIDGET instead of Chloe and pulls the prank cause she's "good" and can ACTUALLY open the book!

*NOT TRYING TO SHADE OR DISRESPECT THE CREATIVE TEAMS, JUST MY OPINON ON THE FILM AS A FAN OF THE ORIGINAL* I feel like the writing felt really simple. Some of the dialouge just felt overly simple. Also the retcons kinda annoyed me becaude it completly undermines the original films. 1. Auradon Prep was stated by Ben as an old castle, but Beast decided to turn it into a school for the new generation. So why would they change it and make it a existing school??? 2. I know the Queen of Hearts was against the unification of Auradon, but why did that matter if ALL the villans were sent to The Isle of the Lost? In one of the books it even mentions she has a salon. So why didn’t Red grow up on the isle? 3. The outfits. Chloe did not look like an Auradon kid at all. Besides the wig styling her Hair should have been a natural color like Audrey or Jane in D1 and i wish she looked more preppy/princess. Her look remindes me alot of Bens D3 isle look. And Cinderella should not have had blue hair either. She should have just had herbraids from the original movie. Also why was Cinderella in a Ball Gown the entire movie??? Belle never wore one until the formal event at the end of each movie. Same with FG. I wish they would of given her more of a buisness casual dress similar to Belle's look. Also i think Kenny Ortega not directing made a HUGE difference. I think theirs a visual differnce to the film that took me out of the movie. I do think the new director did a good job tho it just felt different to me. on a more postive note i did really like Red and Chloe, and the music particulary Red, Fight of Our Lives, and Get Your Hands Dirty. It was a good time, but overall it just didn’t feel the same as the orginal movies.

Chloe DOES look preppy! She is very feminine. Malia Baker(Chloe's actress even says so, preppy girls can wear pants too? 🤨). It's honest only because of the colors she's wearing you say she looks like Ben! But she wears makeup, and Ben doesn't OWN blue, Chloe's is a much lighter shade anyway, She also wears turquoise as well. The gold Chloe wears is obviously supposed to be a reference to her father, King Charming. 😂 I agree with you on the other stuff though.

My main issue with the film is that there were too many characters and they underutilized a lot of them. *cough* ESPECIALLY MEADOW. My favorite character was Red tho. I also think the songs were hit or miss, but I did like a lot of them. "Red" and "Shuffle of Love" are my top 2 favs. And the ending was awful... we better get a 5th movie cause it can't end like that. However, I did ENJOY the movie and I still recommend it to Descendants fans! It's a fun movie, but it just felt incomplete. I am so glad my girl Kylie Cantrall got to shine tho!

There's a theory going around that in the original timeline, Uliana convinced Ella to help play her the mean prank, but in the Pocketwatch timeline, the prank didn't end up happening because Chloe got Ella grounded. Therefore, she couldn't go to the dance.

honestly, i really liked 'perfect revenge', 'fight of our lives', and 'life is sweeter'. i liked the part where they introduced the villians, but i was looking forward to a separate song because there was so much to unpack! throughout the whole movie it was just a lot that was rushed but i still liked it, and i hope future descendants movies only go up from here! I was surprised with the ending and not in a good way. I expected something to go wrong when Red and Chloe return to the present, especially since Red gets an ominous warning about consequences of time traveler and changing time. I wanted to see the dance scene. Bridget seems to take out her anger for the prank on Ella, and we don't see why Bridget would feel that way. We should have got a scene that justifies her anger towards Ella. Like Ella not coming to Bridget's defense, dismissing what happened as not a big deal, trying to stop her from getting revenge for the prank played on her, or maybe even thinking Ella betrayed her.

My thoughts are almost the same as yours. About the songs? I love the specific three (Red, Perfect Revenge and Get your hands Dirty) The rest aren't bad in my opinion but they will be played like once in awhile for me. The characters? I love them all. Especially Bridget/Queen of Hearts for some reason (I literally have a headcanon that she is lesbian). I love the growing friendship between Red and Chloe and I hope the expand them more in the next film. Also ❤+ 💙 = 💜 👍 Yes the ending was a let down from me but I get what they were going for? It's supposed to feel like a part 1 of a two parter. Since it ended on Uma hinting that her going back in time to change the past is going to have serious consequences for the characters. But I think it should've been excuted better. But I do disagree with you about the implied decapitation of Cinderella. I actually liked that they went there because it meant so much more and held so much weight to me when Chloe sang with her Ella. And also I like that it's dark personally because c'mon are we gonna forget that Audrey literally died the last movie and was brought back to life?? I think it fits. But that's just me. Also I don't think it hurts the Queen's character because though it was told that she had a heart to her......she still and has been implied to kill her men and subjects if they step out of line. So just showing that made it even better and more impactful in my opinion. But yeah those are my thoughts. I love the movie. 7/10 I wish we had a better ending. And can't wait for the next one.

Yeah the movie wasn’t bad, but it could have been a lot better. I do feel like a lot was rushed. I do feel like they kept building us up on this prank but we never see it. They kept building us up on the CastleComing dance but we never see it. I’m hoping these plot holes get resolved in the next film(s) or other content. Because I was left confused too. And the lack of the big finale song and dance scene bothers me too. We get a few seconds of them singing to a remixed version of “Life is Sweeter” and that felt kind of incomplete, but after three views of it I chalked it up to this. This “happy ending” wasn’t very happy because it is an alternate universe where things aren’t what they seem and they will have to deal with the consequences of that in the next film. Regarding the music, I liked the music “Perfect Revenge” is probably my favorite one from the movie although I do wish we could have heard more of “Shuffle of Love” and “Bad Reputation” never even made the movie which makes me wonder why.

With the first minutes of the movie, I was amaze : the budget for special effects was higher than for the trilogy and the way it was filmed was more cinematic. (The moment when Uma is looking at Carlos portrait means A LOT. 😭) I'd really fully enjoyed the first hour of the movie... then the "climax" and the abrupt ending disappointed me! And I think I am not the only one who wanted to watch 15 extra minutes in the past. I imagined Uliana steals the Cookbook (Btw, how Uliana was able to trick Bridget in the first place if the Cookbook was protected by a spell?) so Red and Chloe have to warn Bridget at the festival but Uliana takes the appearance of Ella to give her the enchanted treat, then Bridget thought it was Cinderella's fault so Red and Chloe go back in the present with the proof and the right words to change the Queen of Heart's mind... The ending of the movie was "too easy"! Too bad also that we didn't see more of the Young versions of Disney characters at Merlin Academy. Hook and Morgie have a few lines. Hades at least has the sassy attitude while Maleficent, Jasmine and Aladdin were there just for 2-3 lines in a song. The worst part is Zellie which is just there in the background... for 5 shots?? And Chloe's wig which is changing at each scene! 😪 The songs didn't hit as much as the ones from previous movies. My top 3 is : 1. What's My Name (Absolute banger!), 2. Seeing Red (It grown on me with time), then I hesitated between "The Fight of Our Lifes" and "Get Your Hands Dirty" but finally "Get Your Hands Dirty" is very catchy and take the 3d place.

I didnt had an issue with the beginning parts of the film and the time travel stuff but its the ending is what got to me like idk what went down in the writers room but they completely disregard of the the butterfly effect when it comes to time travel once you change one thing everything changes not just the positive to were i thought uliana (adult) was gonna show up personally apart from that i did like Red as a main character cause i personally didnt like Mal as much as i used to but thats just me lol But this film is a Decent film but its a Bad Set up for a part 2 even if this film is meant to be part 1 it dosent excuse the flaws of this film and im convinced Uliana somehow Forced ella to be on that prank (Sorry if this is alot to read but im very passionate about descendants lol)

The Queen Of Hearts has zero humanity reading Beyond The Isle is a must, she hurts Red scolgically and pretty much desentizes her to people around her getting harmed right in front of Red's young eyes. So the queen would infact not care about killing Cindy and leaving Charming a widow and Chole motherless in the book the Queen is just okay taking kids away from their parents with no remorse, So Red making a messy coment about Chole is out of frustration and wanting to help but at the same time she seen something like this happend before and wants to stop it from traumatizing Chole like it did Red in Beyond The Isle.

To be honest, I prefer the original Descendants movies and really did not like the movie as much as the first three. For starters, I don't like how they rewritten the Disney history to have them all be in High school and was not a fan of the music, the only songs I liked was So this is Love and What's my Name (well the movie version at least). The soundtrack was so disappointing, especially since the trilogy songs were awesome and I always loved listening to the finale songs like You and Me and Break this Down and there's no finale song, but still I can't help but imagine how bad it would be. The only part of the movie I did enjoy was any moment Uma was in it, I only liked the beginning part with Uma and Fairy Godmother (even then I was not a fan of them possibly having Carlos die in the Descendants movies, even if the real world there are circumstances but it doesn't mean we have to lose an awesome character (But still the scene was sweet and wholesome either way)) and when Uma was singing What's My Name. They should have just made an Uma movie, give her an adventure or show her adventures between Descendants 2 and Escape from the Isle of the Lost/Under the Sea. But still it was awesome seeing Uma again, though she deserves way better than this movie. In all and all, I am disappointed by this movie, especially since Descendants is my favorite Disney channel movie trilogy and the only Disney Channel film series I enjoy. I would rather have it go a different direction, like an Uma movie or even if it was a book/comic series of Mal, Evie, Jay and Ben's adventures to the far off lands and them meeting our favorite Disney characters during their adventures. They could have even add Uma, Lonnie, Jane, Gil, Harry and Carlos to the mix, it a storyline that has a lot of potential. I just wish they saw that potential and disappointed by how this was supposed to be the grand return for the Descendants movies, but still it was awesome seeing these movies getting some kind of recognition again. Hopefully they rerelease the original dolls or they give Descendants a more prominent premise in the Disney Store and maybe the parks.

Cool! This is the BEST Descendans movie! It was EPIC and AMAZING! I really love it! And is my favorite Descendans movie! When the part 2 is coming from your new Descendans Legacy video? I really LOVE your Descendans 4 The Rise Of Red dolls unboxing videos,my favorite one are Uliana and Chloe Charming. Uliana and Chloe are my two favorite characters from Descendans 4 The Rise Of Red. I really LOVE Uliana,she is the BEST VILLAIN,she is BEAUTIFUL and really interesting,she is really powerful. You can defilitly make Uliana meet Audrey(daughter of Aurora), please ,because Audrey and Uliana are both MEAN GIRLS and VILLAINS! And then Audrey and Uliana can hate each other and star arguing and fighting,like Audrey VS Uliana. Is will be EPIC!

The movie was trash. It felt like it was just made to be made . I give it a 4 out of 10 .We needed more Uma . I love the tribute to Cameron best part of the film for me .

Such a bad movie, however I still listen to life is sweeter because the song has a great message and a good beat but all the characters that talk-sing ruin it and slow down the pacing so kinda like the movie lol I can still enjoy aspects of it but not the movie it's self it seems like it was lazily put together ngl

No, she doesn't? Red and Chloe altered time, so in that timeline, the Queen is a better person and never becomes evil to begin with. 😂😂 So, in this new timeline, the Queen was always kind.
