The weapon generator is a whole lot of fun to mess around with, but what if the weapons it generated were actually in the game? In this video, I choose a couple of randomly generated Spy weapons, fix their stats, and design what they might look like if they were added.

This was a little less wacky than the Sniper video, but I still think it turned out alright. Unlike someone like Sniper, a lot of Spy's weapons have a clean and upkept aesthetic, so I didn't have a ton of room to play around with some of the more crazy designs like in the last video. Hopefully next time will be more outside the box!

@@meanttoaster7261 the other people replying to you telling you you're wrong are stupid and can't read, though I think the way you phrased it wasn't the greatest. For those reading further, in team fortress, and subsequently team fortress classic, the spy was equipped with a tranquilizer gun. Notably, this was not necessarily the spy's primary weapon, as they would also have both a shotgun and a nail gun acting as the main sources of ranged damage. This was actually the case with many class-specific weapons, being alternate, often higher or more specialized, forms of damage to the standard shotgun and/or nail gun. This tranquilizer gun was brought to beta tf2 but was ultimately dropped (a decision which was probably for the better, all things considered). It actually wasn't all that far off from the stats in the video, firing slower and having a relatively low damage output but with the advantage of slowing enemy players. If you have any interest in team fortress classic, definitely check out fortress forever. It's free on steam, and is essentially a port of team fortress classic to source.

Pepper's Pursuer +50 health +20% more damage -Removes disguise kit -18% slower reload speed I feel like it's interesting as is, but if there aren't any buffs in damage, I don't see using the Pepper's Pursuer other than a gimmick loadout. With the added bonus damage but slower reload speed, it makes you think twice when you're disguised using the Eternal Reward if you should shoot or not.

I remember making a concept for a Spy revolver that was based on the classic joke gun with the “BANG!” flag inside. It was supposed to be a one shot revolver that could only be fired while you were disguised, would not remove your disguise, and would actually make it look like your disguise class was attacking, even with creating a fake, damage-less projectile if it was holding a projectile weapon. It’s pretty much designed to make you look even more like an enemy.

That kind of depends of how it interacts with the disguise kit like in RTD servers if you get the “stripped to melee” roll you will be unable to use the b (last disguise) command so it may work on a similar principle. Ugh the a good experiment)

For the baïonette I'd like to see something like this On backstab: player becomes mini crit boosted for X seconds On backstab: knife becomes unusable for a short period of time (automatically switches to revolver) +35% faster holster speed -75% damage to buildings on wearer -25% cloak recharge rate The main idea with this is that when you get a backstab you're likely to be found out, so instead of cloaking and hoping for the best you go out guns blazing

Weapon idea: A new revolver for spy: The Bamboozler Pros: Can fire while Disguised Can fire while Invisible No damage falloff Really quiet (maybe hidden stat?) On headshot: Maintains your disguise for target (can't see you on fire or jarate'd or mad milked or bleeding or coated in gas or wet or undisguised, instead they just see the disguise you were using at the time or nothing if you were invisible) for 15 seconds. Cons: Deals 3 damage -84% clip size (you only have 1 shot loaded.) Neutral: Fires projectiles that travel in an arc similar to but shorter than the huntsman. I was thinking it would be a bamboo blow dart gun with a team-colored strip of fabric wrapped around one end.

I'd imagine the Bond gun would have a Silent Killer stat, it'd be rad to see that implemented on the gun, fits with the Suppressor. Also I LOVE the name "The 009" The second gun can be named "The Anti-Alias". An alias is a false identity, and since you can't change your identity, it fits the name Anti-Alias. Which is also a text pun and I love it. The knife can be named "The Lightning Contact", which is an exchange between two people. You give them death, they give you mini-crits! Win win! Also since it has mini-crits, it fits the sorta "lightning" aspect of it.

I'd have named the first one "unstirring infiltrator" as it references James Bond, who likes his vodka martinis "shaken, not stirred", additionally, "unstirred" can be used to describe something as being still or not moving, which goes with the weapon's stats. The second I would have named the "Brest pocket blaster" with Brest being a port city in France, and a breast pocket being a pocket over the breast area inside a coat, where someone like the spy might hide a gun.

The gloves at the start could actually be quite interesting as it makes the classic medic heavy combo much less effective while giving heavy a great pretty decent combo tool Normally it'd be really bad but due to the longer melee range you don't need to get close enough to the enemy to which just shooting again would be a better option I think the fire resistance could be replaced with a switching speed increase

I like the slowing gun idea because spy doesn't really have mobility options to catch up to certain characters so you could shoot an enemy and then backstab the however you'd have to do it before they react and turn around.

I like the idea for the Burn Notice, though it would break the rule of having health boosting items always visible. To fix this, I would replace the weapon's +50 health on wearer to +30% damage resistance when active (as that comes out to about the same effective health). This makes it so enemy players can always see that you have the additional health.

This actually gave me a fun idea for a spy sapper. Call it the Peacemaker Pro: Three times the health of a normal sapper. Con: Does no damage to buildings.

I have a few ideas for Spy weapons. The Clear Mist: Cons: - You can only go invisible - Becoming invisible takes 3x longer - Leave an obvious trail of smoke behind you as long as you are turning invisible Pros: - Invisibility lasts 100% longer - You can be hit once while invisible without leaving invisibility Knife: The Swiss Army Swipe Cons: - Backstabs minicrit Pros: - You are able to deflect rockets and bombs if you hit them. - +20% attack speed New Sapper: Parasitic Prayer Cons: - Sentries, dispensers, and teleporters are no longer stunned while sapped - 40% less damage from sapper - 80% less attack rate per sapper Pros: - Half of all damage sentries deal will heal you. The slower firing speed on the dart gun could be because it has a very fast reloading animation between each shot where the Spy inserts a new dart. Would be neat that way.

As far as I can tell, The Burn Notice would merely get rid of the disguise kit. The disguise kit does not remove the ability to disguise. The Wanga Prick/Your Eternal Reward could both bypass this, making the two synergize incredibly well.

For the final knife, it may be cool to make it look like a medieval royalty knife, with like a technological doodad with wires coming out of it stuck onto the side, it can also glow, that way players can easily see which knife you have, and it also fits spy's style with him being older fashioned, but still has something to show what makes you crit

for the first one to both team color it and show that it is designated as non-lethal, you could also put tape somewhere on the gun other than the suppressor as that is a thing in real life with guns designated to be less than lethal, or have raised sights that are colored

I always had a Weapon idea for Spy being based on the Magnum Research BFR (It's a really big gun that takes 45-70 Govt rounds, a bullet that is bigger than Sniper's bullets), high dam, good range, and can penetrate, but slow firing speed, even slower if miss, 5 round clip, long reload time, and higher damage from Explosives.

I will throw in two things: Mann's Silver Finger as suggested by Carl from Accounting works the best AND Burn Notice is such a damn good name for the second gun (Here's what a Burn Notice means for the spy itself, a loss of resources as anything from that Agency is revoked (outside of what you already have on your person at the time), any contacts from the Agency stop talking to you, your Agency number is cut, your bank account is frozen and you're left with whatever caches you could access, the money in your pocket, any non-agency contacts and your wits). So losing the disguise kit with it makes a TONNE of sense because you might not be able to get the Psychotropic Gas that allows you to blend in, thus the kit is just a Cigarette Case. The health makes sense too as maybe Spy decided to work out some to compensate for the lost advantage? Maybe reconnect with the intense training he needed to become The Spy in the first place?

I think that one knife shouldve kept the minus damage to buildings penatly but for all of his weapons, including the revolver and even sapper, the spy would become a much more powerful damage dealer to players, but would lose out against sentries, meaning he would have to rely on his teamates to help destroy sapped buildings, basically the red tape recorder knife.

Small change I would like to recommend for The Burn Notice, since it’s going off Gun Spy then either have longer cloak with more cloak collection from ammo boxes, or can deal more knock back on hit so the Spy can get more safety distance

That first one would actually be really useful because you’ll be able to catch up to fast enemies to backstab them or shoot someone while they’re fighting your team members. I’d love using that.

The Burn Notice makes the Your Eternal Reward an option. Also not having something to do with afterburn is a missed opportunity.

Here's an idea. The switcher. Its a sapper that when deployed, they switched the enemy building to be used by your team. For example, dispensers will heal teammates and sentries will kill enemies. For sentries, they uses 2x the ammo and will self destruct when they run out of ammo. And it can't be used on teleporters. Also, it takes one hit to remove and 2 seconds to take over

For the burn notice, since it has extra health, It'd have to also have a visual queue, so something like a concealed ballistic vest would work, something noticable but not TOO noticable. You do wanna be sneaky afterall.
