I used to watch your show Desiree (the urban vegetarian) And I did get your book from our library ( Un-Junk Your Diet) I am so glad to see you have a new book, and plant based 🙂Will you ever have a new show that is all plant based (with out the cheeses and some other things you had on a Vegetarian show)? Thank you I still learned a lot from your other show Congrats on the new book!

Hi Rip, I never used to like eggplant either until I made my eggplant & lentil soup: canned tomatoes, onion, garlic, roasted eggplants cut into pieces, lentils, stock cube, fresh basil. Delicious!

Thank you Rip, for having Desiree on your podcast. I love the perspectives of a variety of plant-based professionals. I especially like the conversation regarding "Nuts & Seeds" - actually, I pre-grind at least 8 or 9 different nuts and seed (including Flax, Hemp & Chia seeds and other nuts), on a weekly basis, and then apply a tablespoon of that mix onto everything 3 times a day :)

Dr Berg promotes eggs for essential vitamin uptake. Can you get him on your podcast Rip ?

That would be off message for this podcast.

I love this show, but it's an echo chamber. You will never hear opposing viewpoints here.

@@mikereed4876 Well the research shows animal products are bad for us, it would seem counter productive to have someone on the show encouraging the consumption of eggs . 🤣😂

@@Scor-ah I agree 100%, too. WFPB diet probably saved my life. 115lbs down and stronger than ever. Plant strong, you might say.

@@mikereed4876 The point of this channel is to support people in their plant strong journeys, not to debate the merits of the plant based diet. No shortage of opposing viewpoints out there if you're interested. Rip has been on Brad Kearns' podcast at least once recently. And Earthing Ed's YT channel is almost exclusively debates with non-vegans about the merits of a plant based diet.
