Over and over the world and devil and flesh will try and convince us that we can't be satisfied in Christ but only in other things. I have experienced much hedonism in this life. I have concluded that it is vain deceit. After 30 years of following Christ the pull is still there to try and find satisfaction is something besides Christ. AS the song goes: "All my soul has tried has left a dismal void, Jesus has satisfied, Jesus is mine".

I've been a Christian hedon since I was in grade school. I would say to Him, please come now. Why wait. I don't want to be here... Pretty weird to be saying such things by 8 yrs old, the Holy Spirit pointed it to me out later. ( I must have known early on that His Kingdom was a far better place to be.) Maranatha Yeshua!

Pray for me. I feel im being oppressed or possessed. As a Christian I went into occult I told God to leave me alone. I since I have repented. But I'm being attacked. Afraid I lost my salvation. I feel dead inside Please pray for me. I feel I 😪 grieved God too much and He left me Please pray that I can receive the mercy of the Lord. I'm afraid I have wondered too far. Pray that His mercy. I have never been “satisfied” with God. I follow Jesus because His gospel is truth. God is glorified when we are obedient. Our level of satisfaction is dependent on feelings that change with the wind.

What he’s talking about is “contentment”. As in when I am in a place where I am satisfied in my life with God and God alone, the joy and the peace that is found there, allows me to glorify God MOST. At this point, obedience is a given.

John you are a genius … I have often thought of the joy I feel when in the worst of times I’m somehow miraculously inspired to give thsnks to god fir giving me the gift of being able to give thanks when it seems impossible - immediately all things change… snyway I feel a nexus powerful with what you say … my experience it occurs usually when everythibg is hopeless- easy to praise god when things are well but when all hope seems lost -wgat a gift! I know it’s not exactly the same thing but there is a beautiful nexus a great garden that somehow joins such radiant thoughts one to another it helps me to fix this broken down palace I have been living in I write this in humility it’s I edited all glory to god if you read this punctuate add vowel points and make it perfect through edification let’s all through the great work one with another elevate and glorify HIM who grants us The Gift which allows us in our humility to Behold the Miraculous -truly Jesus Christ is The Divine Revealayion of The One True Living God -- john I’m so happy to see that he laid an epoch of genius on you brother ( in deepest humility I address you as my brother -- the joy -behold The Miraculous) !

God knows us and what we need better than anyone, how to satisfy us at the soul level, has the love motivation to bless us, and has all power to do good for us. Wife, family and friends all lack that degree of knowledge, love, and power. He is the greatest treasure.

You must be born again. It's inexplicable. God is so unlike anything or anyone else. He is just and nobody is just like Him. He is kind and nobody is kind like Him. He is merciful and nobody is merciful like Him. He is loving and nobody is loving like Him. This is the God who created you and knows every detail of your being. His mercy and grace is manifested in that you are alive breathing even though you've sinned against Him. He created you and gave you life knowing that you would sin against Him and His mercies are new for you everyday. My wife? My son? They are beautiful and amazing. Loss compared to Him! He's magnificent! He's beyond description! How can we not rejoice in Him above everything and everyone else? That's the real question.

Piper, do you ever worry that your over-the-top invective against Donald Trump could be be dog-whistle to violence? If being anti-Trump is more “precious” than life and freedom? You tell me.
