I thank God sooo much for this message. It takes away an "added sense of guilt & shame" in the face of adversity & sets one free to "relax" (per se) in Father's trustworthy & Almighty Sovereign arms ... there is Godly purpose in suffering ❤❤❤

God is most glorified in you when you are most satisfied in Him, in the midst of loss

Wow! I am so blessed by finding this exact sermon. For a while, I've been listening to many people tell me that God doesn't ever want us to suffer, that He doesn't condone it for us, His children. Though, I am only five-ish years into studying the Bible. I could not agree with this suffer-free expectation of living because I didn't read that theology in the Bible. I don't go to a church so I don't have the constructs of a particular brand of theology. I just keep reading the Old and New Testaments because I absolutely LOVE the Bible. My friend said that if she gets an illness that she will pray and Jesus will heal her! I said something like, "What if its God's will that you go through the suffering?" She replied that she would never, ever believe that. Therefore, I decided not to speak further.

Linda Keaton just remind them of Romans 8. We must suffer with Him in order that we may be glorified with Him.

Look up “Redemptive Suffering”, which is the belief that all Christians believed until recent history. The idea that we can pray & tell God to heal us & he will do it is not only a New Age belief that has seeped into some churches it is arrogant & evil to think that we are the boss of God. It’s a perfect example of the rich, self-centered, Oprahified Christianity where people believe they are somehow superior to the rest of the world & above the pain & hard times of life. That type of belief system also demands that we believe anyone who is poor, sick, lives in a country at war, etc. are less than & deserve to suffer. I don’t know how anyone can be filled with the Holy Spirit & believe that kids at St Jude Hospital deserve to have cancer, teen girls in Ukraine deserve to be raped by soldiers, mothers in Africa deserve to watch their babies slowly starve to death; That type of faith is an Oprah, Kardashian religion where people are the god & they throw in some Bible verses & Jesus, but there’s nothing of the Jesus who suffered on the cross for us.

Wow!!!! Outstanding sermon that goes to the heart of suffering and God's role in it. God is in control of EVERYTHING that has happened that's happening now or will to come! This sermon was immensely needed right now for me in that I have been dealing with health issues some for decades and another for over 5 years. How comforting to know that through this God is not only with me but will sustain me and comfort me. I always want to show people how awesome God is especially when they don't believe. The biggest testimony a Christian can give is to show people God is better and more satisfying than any negative circumstances that comes against them! Amen to that!

I JOY in all suffering! Let CHRIST BE MAGNIFIED/HONORED/MEGA in “everything” I DO in this flesh, whether I live or die! To live, IS CHRIST ( Life is Christ) and for me to die, is GAIN. When I depart and be with Christ, I GAIN. All PRAISES to Almighty God. Thank you LORD for your Word of Truth and life.

Hi Paulina, I'm a New Born Baby in Christ, could you please explain to me what's the "Ecumenical Posture?", I really don't know what the concept is or what does it mean. Many thanks in advance, may our Lord Jesus Christ Bless you, Amen.
