That box set was the price "litmus test", to see what people would pay. They fucked around and found out. Yet, they still do this in, smaller increments, hence the term, price creep.

You could easily make Necromunda terrain. Ok, you can print them. But you can look at the dollar tree toys. Or any toy sections. Paw Patrol toys are way cool to smash and rebuild.

It's just a shame that Sector Mechanicus terrain isn't sold anymore by games workshop, unless you count the ONE kit on the webstore

I bought three boxes of it at half price, sold all the extra books, dice, and figs, and in the end paid almost nothing for a full set plus 2 extra terrain sets

They did put out a terrain article right at launch that showed all this I vividly remember it and it’s what got me sold on it. I wouldn’t of bought it at 300$ otherwise.

So can you disassemble and then reassemble it or is it permanent once you get it assembled?

So long as you don't glue them together and make sure what ever primer used is very much dry (to prevent bonding) before you put them together. Yes you can take them apart. Also depends on how they are painted as well.

ya they are fully modular, like legos. i've show how the system works in a few videos about the sector mechanicus terrain. its pretty cool. very modular, and very compatible. cheers

I've seen Ash Wastes for $160 occasionally on Amazon and Ebay and I couldn't quite pull the trigger because I would only be getting it for the terrain....

its really nice for that price. i picked up a couple. you can always sell off the models, use them for conversions etc. the rule book is pretty sought after, so if you're not going to play, you could trade or sell it! i really like the terrain, and necromunda. its a shame how they priced it, and have done so much in forgeworld resin

I got mine for $150, but I didn't consider buying multiples... the Killteam/Warcry seasons all releasing with the same terrain for 4x boxes each made me paranoid that this one might repeat the terrain with any future big boxes released soon after.

Its like you are saying, its cool but way to expensive for what you get. I got the ashwaste box at discounted price otherwise i would never buy it. And the reason they are posting this now is because there is comming a new terrain set, with those towers. The problem with the terrain price, is that basically anyone that are able to cut straight, can go out and buy som foam and cardbore for 15-20$ and get 10 times the terrain you get from this stuff in a days work. Ofcourse it lack the details, but unless your doing dioramas the details aint focused on.

I can only get it for 25% reduction. 180€ is too much for a game I most likey find nobody to play with me, despite the cool terrain.

It just is baffling how they handled some of this Necromunda stuff. Considering they are now bringing out the Ash Wastes combo kit (Soon most likely) and the current kits staggering price point, while the starter aint helping either. Also Underhive sector is not currently in the store, nor stocked.. so kinda wondering are they rolling out an newer starter kit next year ( If Hive war gets stocked out soonish as well, might be an indicator ). This terrain is still darn cool, but maybe fits generic scifi games more easily then Necromunda. I would love to crab Ash Wastes Starter, and the new combo kit with an hefty discount... but dont think that is happening in EU (Im so jealous of your 150$ findings).
