The idea that you can be promiscuous and manipulative in your 20s and then turn around and just land in a successful long term marriage is delusional. A good marriage is a serious commitment that requires you to practice effective communication skills and boundaries. You set yourself up for long term failure if you take the strategy that redpillers describe, and you miss out on high quality relationship sex. What a hollow way to live

This is exactly what I was thinking. You can’t discount the really bad habits you’d pick up along the way in those debaucherous twenties that would really harm your chances of settling down in your thirties. Most people can’t just turn around and start living a completely different life at the drop of a dime.

Agreed…. It’s good to go out and experience things, maybe be a man-whore for a little bit? It made me realize that it was something that made me feel empty and was simply instant gratification. It’s like eating a ton of McDonald’s when your starving; feels GREAT doing it, but you feel like total shit afterwards, and for a lot longer. So now I know that living like that will not give me the “validation of self” I thought it would. Plus I learned to come into my own and be charming to women confidently in the process. But damn, the manipulation aspect? It’s not easy to break that programming and it will definitely have a net negative effect on your life. Especially when you find someone that means the world to you. You should never consciously fuck someone over to get what you want…. It’s not good for your soul, for real

This is probably dependant on your culture. I'm a Dutch woman and here is it fairly normal to take friends of the opposite sex home. I think it would be really difficult to make a guide for dating that has wide spread applicability for people who struggle with it because the cultural norms and circumstances of each person’s situation can vary wildly in a ways that are really significant. My guess is if you start naming board categories like “straight person in 20-40s in US who wants to date and someday get married” you can be a lot more effective than just “hey here’s how anyone should court” even then things like your career path how you spend your time etc can all matter a lot. I don’t think I’d have ever met my partner or someone I could happy with through dating apps or trying to meet people in person (or at the very least it would have been really difficult) but I did meet her online through specific fandom places. In hindsight knowing what kind of person I am this just makes way more obvious sense that if I was ever going to meet someone it be like this and yet none of the dating advice I ever tried to find online was aware of it. Granted you can never make advice perfectly right for everyone who hears it but I think we could do a lot better than rn where there’s kind of a baseline assumption that everyone can find a partner by doing the same set of things right.

If I had to guess I think the hobbies I was interested in as well as the fact that my relationship is a little more queer than most people I know irl would be interested in are both contributing factors to why it was easier for me online that irl. @@ataraxia7439 Thanks for your reply, and it makes a lot of sense, I think both have their positives and negatives. I think a combination of the two may be optimal, it would be better if more of these online communities, had more IRL meet ups and IRL clubs etc. I think it would also help a lot if more traditionally male hobbies etc became a lot more open to women. I think a great idea may to be to try and start clubs etc, for younger age groups such as, 18-30 year olds, and these online forums could be a good way to attract people. Take the Art reddit page for example, it has 20 million members. That's about 1 in 400 people on earth. Chances are, that there are people in your area, who share that interest with you. In my experince, there are quite a few clubs around, for different hobbies, but most of the members are of an older age. Out of interest, what sort of hobbies etc did you meet people through online.

If everyone were to take the path of least resistance in the worldview he has laid out there would be nothing but suffering basically. Even if we just go by Destiny's worldview a stance like that makes no sense. Being nice and not f"cking people over are generally gonna take you farther in life and lead to a better one. Lies, especially the more elaborate they get and the more parties involved basically always implode at some point because they are impossible to keep up. If you treat people like sh"t then people will probably treat you like sh"t. If you scam people or do something that causes a lot of negative ripple effects someone will eventually try to put you behind bars or cancel you out of being able to make a living. I'm willing to bet that what he puts on his bios and photos on these apps are glimpse of his above average lifestyle, he doesn't have to say that he's a famous streamer BUT because these apps are extremely competitive he's required to show off some of his worth. Also, whether you're going on dates or even hooking up people do bring up your career/jobs and hobbies to gage your lifestyle.

That thing he mentioned sometime after the 1-hour mark, about "if I spoke with an unconfident voice, you wouldn't like me" - I call that "the witch hunt", because women look for the slightest detail to write you off, and won't "forgive" nor forget it. Rationally, if she was to do something unbecoming, like if she farts loudly, you make excuses, you minimize the problem, you try to help her out of the gaffe. But when it's the other way around then it works like one giant if-statement with a trillion conditions, and if a single one fails - she sees you as whatever she associates that failure with, and there's no way back into her "good graces" after that. Which definitely isn't the man's fault, I don't expect ethereal perfection neither from men nor women.

Nobody is looking just for love anymore. People are looking for profit in dating. That's the problem. We have become too materialistic and completely gave up our spiritual side. Now everybody is sad and depressed and lonely and full of hate and still people go on doing the same shit acting as if nothing's wrong.

I mostly agree with Destiny(as a certified non virgin) but I still believe in and have female friends and we don't bang. Now, it has gotten there, usually with alcohol so there is truth to it. But I've had plenty of healthy, non simp relationships with women, however- you have to have a common hobby like smoking weed, hiking, climbing, etc and it's doable. I've gotten amazing feminine insight over a smoke sesh that I couldn't have gotten from the boys. But, if you haven't had sex much or at all, these friendships may be really difficult. You have to be on even grounds. And like the Eccentric Poet said, salute to all the DGGrs constantly baiting Dman into more rageful rants and baiting him, it's great shit

"There's a difference between a Nice Guy and a 'NiceGuy'" Yeah, except that difference isn't that there are millions of men out there being born as the one-dimensional cartoonish boogeymen that women like to portray everyone they reject as, the difference is physical appearance. Nice Guy can get positive feedback for his general attitude thanks to the Halo Effect and know that he's valued enough that he can hold his own and stave off desperation. 'NiceGuy' is the person who USED to have that same general attitude, but the reversed Halo Effect and Lookism ( As been proven by countless of studies ) have led to purely sneering responses from women, or perpetual friendzoning at best, and then he spiraled off either into the misguided 'Hail Mary' last ditch effort to capture women's attention by simping harder than anyone else and pleading on his knees, or to resent each rejection much more strongly because their universal continuation has a culminative effect, or both. 'NiceGuy' did not appear to disquiet women's otherwise perfect lives out of thin air. The 'NiceGuy' is a result of systemic hypergamy.

@@scottyboy7835 Of course, that has been the defining distinction of human civilization which still holds true around the globe to this day - All the good guys get mad pussy, and all the bad men don't. And also why a vast majority of women claim to have been in abusive relationships, or to have dated an 'asshole', or to have had uncaring and selfish sexual partners. They're just *that* good at filtering out entitled and toxic men. They always know when the 'vibe' is off or can 'smell' the perfidy from a mile away.

@@scottyboy7835 I think that's my problem with the "the issue is you if you can't get a girl." Yes, obviously the issue is you and how you're approaching women. THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU THIS HORRIBLE PERSON. You're just struggling with women on a social level, but you're not some ugly monster unworthy of life. It's okay to have a rough time learning things. lol the mental gymnatics are shocking. nice guys are not a result of hypergamy, they are a result of the emasculation of young boys and boys being taught to think from a young age that all that is required from a man is a good attitude. This is very present in media/entertainment and perpetuated by it. This started much before adolesence.

I think there's more context than just being at someone's place late, imo. But I've grown up with a lot of women as friends. I did a lot of theater and band and have had a lot of platonic friends. Just like I'd hang out with my guy friends late shooting the shit, I'd do the same thing with girls.
