Destiny, this guy you're talking to here isn't a good representation of even your average internet Trump supporter. He doesn't seem to know anything about the Trump presidency, he just read memes and had fun. There is a lot to push back on that you laid out that he didn't even respond to. I'm not saying I'm the guy to talk to or anything, but this guy isn't it.

i would like to talk to destiny for 10 minutes on like existence of a counterexample while it disproves an absolute general statement, does not disprove a utilitarian argument and prehaps how these counterexamples can be used to enliven a biased information availability heuristic in an audience. basically its just: logic -> stats -> power -> ideology type of flow, ive seen his recent videos be tilted towards this the past month or so, and its a simple consideration and/or fix. tbh i hope he just understands the gist from this comment

@Kyle Kyle Putin didn't just steal Crimea, aka send troops and arms to enable a war of aggression, they voted, aka a bs vote with no legal standing and likely fraud. It'd be like the US invading North Mexico and saying the white Mormons of US origin voted amongst themselves to take sovereign Mexican land and have US troops hold onto it for them. What a weird propaganda idea for an American to prop up. I remember a time only 4 and half years ago where no Republican would have said anything positive about Putin. My how things change for seemingly no reason at all....

@Kyle Kyle and yet Iran didnt have increased enrichment. Bidens climate plan will create 7 million more jobs according to moodys. Just because a referendum was passed, that doesnt mean Russia was justified in its actions. Thats a complete non sequitur. Saying his stance is CIA propaganda isnt a defeater, its a conspiracy theory.

@Kyle Kyle ive done a bit of googling. Can you tell me where you read that Iran self reports? The wording of the Iran deal specifically says theyre to make accommodations for IAEA inspections on all facilities when requested. I suspect youre spreading a lie, for instance this was claimed by Ted Cruz in 2015 and i read a politifact fact check that confirms the Iran deal didnt include self inspections but necessitated some self reporting. For instance the IAEA needed to know where uranium was being stored from the Iranian government since they dont track that.

Why does nobody ever bring up that the Trump tax cuts are only permanent for the rich? In 2025, the tax cuts for lower income earners expire but the cuts for the rich are permanent. He structured it in such a way that the tax cuts would end a year after his would be second term. His plan was to be riding off into the sunset by the time his supporters realized they've been bamboozled. This is the single most important point when discussing who benefits the most from those tax cuts and nobody ever talks about it.

Did you notice bigger pay checks? To say he did nothing is crazy. I'm not sure how much any president really does, but atleast be honest about what we know was done. The problem is the media doesn't give attention to the things trump did. For example I just learned that trump helped historic black colleges guarantee funding for 10 years. Before this they had to get and hope for federal funding every single year. This isnt just a problem needing dealt with every year, but its inconsistent because the amount is different every year, so they have to change things every year to fit their funding. Now they get 10 years of funding,so they can plan out their spending for an entire decade.

I’m tired of hearing this: “So what they stormed the capitol? It wasn’t that violent/not that many people died.” What Conservatives/Republicans tend to miss is that it wasn’t the violence that was the most concerning part. The concern is that a large group of people were literally storming our nation’s capitol to stop the results of a fair election to keep a current leader in power. To shrug this off shows a blatant disregard for democracy. As cringe as some Democrats/lefties reacted to Trump’s win back in 2016, there was never a concerted effort by them to overturn the election and install Hillary as President...

China is even making nuclear threats because of Biden. Not to mention the increase in illegal immigration, with Biden just letting people come in, and him and the VP's endorsements of terrorists like Antifa and BLM, who have burned cities, caused billions in damages, interfered with our justice system by infiltrating Dereck Chauvin's trial and giving him an unfair trial, have murdered and carried out targeted assassinations, have created "autonomous zones", and have led to an extreme increase of crime, as well as causing the defunding and disbanding of law enforcement, which has had huge negative effects on our country. The irony of this conversation is that for destiny's project of social democracy to work he has to convince all these voters in every state to care about policies they know nothing about, when the average voter would rather just vote based on personalities and labels. When a decentralized approach to government would allow for local communities and institutions to build the projects he envisions on a small scale from the ground up.

@@finleymcfuckface2414 it's quite easy. Decentralize power away from the federal government and to the state and local governments as the country was originally designed. This doesn't happen for at least two reasons. People want to force everyone in the country to live like themselves and the federal government has the federal reserve to monetize the debt so it can borrow and print to pay for both sides' grand ideas, while state and local government actually have to pay for these projects with taxes and everyone hates taxes.

Bernies rhetoric wasnt better than Bidens. If it was so good why couldnt it convince enough people to win the election? Bidens rhetoric effectively crushed Bernie. AND trump

was it Biden's rhetoric that crushed Bernie? Or was it more his reputation for being safe and electable, alongside his pleasing association with the Obama presidency? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he beat trump and he's doing pretty good atm, but it certainly wasn't his rhetoric that got him there.

biden did bad in the debates. he just kinda sailed through and suddenly everybody dropped out in order to sabotage bernie.

Tbh the votes close enough that I do not think we can say Biden crushed. But he did manage to win, so thank goodness for that .

Destiny was right about the 17 years to immigrate, but it was for Indians with bachelor's degrees. India has the longest wait times of any country, due to the insanely high number of applicants trying to fill a measly quota. If you have an advanced degree and are an EB-2 worker, you could be waiting 151 years for a green card. www.cato.org/blog/150-year-wait-indian-immigrants-advanced-degrees "The biggest backlog is for EB-2 workers who have advanced degrees. At current rates of visa issuances, they will have to wait 151 years for a green card. Obviously, unless the law changes, they will have died or left by that point."

@@MrNoobthenub I genuinely let a few fear-mongering influencers and some clueless people on twitter ruin my perception of different groups of people (other races, Jewish people), I guess I wasn't a full on fash but I was greatly influenced by Nick Fuentes among others. I'm 15, my views are very flexible and easily influenced, what can I say? But discovering a destiny debate in which he debates a white nationalist (catboykami) and completely tears apart his arguments, exposing how easy they are to deconstruct, I was saved from this vicious cycle! I'm still pro-life, I'm still pro-gun, but my views aren't dictated by hateful fascists and I feel very happy where I'm at now
